Unplugged is a rhythm-driven VR experience built around the fantasy of shredding an air guitar onstage, yet its real appeal lies in how seriously it commits to that fantasy. Rather than relying on a physical plastic instrument, the game places your hands directly in the spotlight: strumming, fretting, sliding, and performing flourishes entirely through gesture tracking. That design choice makes every performance feel personal and expressive, and when everything works in harmony — your movements, the tracking, the song’s energy, and the roar of the virtual crowd — the game achieves a rare kind of VR exhilaration. There are moments where you genuinely feel like a guitarist responding to a live audience, even though you’re standing alone in your room with nothing but a headset. The gameplay loop revolves around matching chords, riffs, and strums to scrolling note prompts while keeping your performance fluid. The licensed soundtrack leans heavily into rock’s different eras, offering iconic riffs and recognizable energy that translate well into VR performance. Each song becomes less about precision for its own sake and more about getting into the groove — tilting the guitar at the righ…

Was this game supposed to work with the Quest 2? I bought it, and tried it. but I can't even get through the tutorial. I have to place all four fingers on the neck of the guitar and strum, but it just sounds awefull and acts like I am missing all the notes. Then a second set of notes I need to play lifting my index finger, that works kind of. As the second set of notes with the lifted index finger does work, I gigure it's not just my incompetence of playing the air guitar. I tried it several times, in different locations of the house, with different light surcomstances, it is the same everytime.

Phenomenal game. Feels great to riff-out to the songs. UNFORTUNATELY: Abandoned. Devs celebrated their award of "best upcoming VR studio" and proceeded to add like, 3 more songs after that and do nothing with this game. They have a good roster of songs, and when I started playing, the charts were really good and felt extremely fair even on higher difficulty, I was able to play the charts and they just.. FELT good, yknow? But.. on a random update, they redid these charts and now I can do Easy, and BARELY the middle difficulty, when the highest difficulty wrecks me now, and its just.. not forgiving or fun to play anymore. Wish I could downgrade to that version, it is way more fun, by a mile. So so sad.. so much potential for a fantastic game, was just a disposable side-project that had a great foundation but nothing was done with it. Also, I remember someone complaining about Michael Starr (Steel Panther vocalist) not being able to act their way out of a paper bag.. who cares? He's supposed to be a stupid cliche rockstar.. dude got a smile out of me a few times. He only appears a few times once you've heard all his dumb dialogue. (also you can't get the April Fools achievement a…

Don't Leave reviews very often, but it gave me a free Guitar in game if I agreed to give it 5 stars, well I cant do that here so I'll leave a review, It will be an honest one. Game is Really good but can be extremely hard, but just put the game on easy and there's nothing like it. The light's, the energy of the crowd, and the music you feel connected with. You can just loose yourself in it. VR shines in games like this. Played on PSVR2 and have had no problems. And The Guitar player from Steel Panther should get his own comedy show.
