Rocking Legend

Highly recommend picking up this game if you loved drumming it out in Rock Band. I love the customisable positioning on the drum placement and enjoy that you can select from different setups. The devs are still invested in the game and it shows through the updates. I am surprised this is not more popular, especially with the community support in expanding your library (into the 1000s) with similar classic games from years past. Plus it has LIV support which is even more fun! I only wish I could find a button mashing guitar so I can relive my guitar hero days!

firstly, i'd like to say that this game's premise of putting you on a live guitar hero show is awesome, and when i found out about the microphone, i had so much fun with it! now the bad: this game supports clone hero custom charts, but very poorly. you need to add the songs inside a "chartstoimport" folder, and it will very slowly convert them or whatever into the correct format in the game's install directory. this means you will essentially need to double your hard drive space if you're looking to have every song in both games. now, you may want to create a symlink to your clone hero songs folder to make this easy... DO NOT DO THIS! i did this and while it did work as in it imported my entire songlist, it also DELETED every song from the original folder! why this is bad: the game only supports 1 folder per song format, this means that in the process of importing, it put every one of my 6k + songs into a single folder. since i had all my clone hero charts sorted into subfolders by games/setlist, even if i copy all the songs back, it will be a hugely disorganized mess from now on, it also messed up and mashed up charts/ogg files from similarly named songs from different a…

A hidden gem which I am sad to see without more than 1-2 players on at a time, its a great usage of VR with a good amount of difficulty customization, sometimes buggy but overall easy to import custom songs, and a high skill ceiling. I hope it gets more love, and I'm glad this game exists. Also, two good places I can reccomend for custom songs are Chorus Encore and Rythym Verse. Give the game a try, its fun as hell

cant configure physical guitar controllers. just defaults to "stick left" whenever I try to assign any of the buttons.

The game seemed really promising, but it'd be an understatement to say i'm disappointed when I can't even strum (and thus can't play), nor easily adjust the position of the guitar (assuming it doesn't just disappear into the floor). Spent a good 30-40 minutes trying to fix these issues to no avail. Combine that with the pause button being unbound by default and the game freezing up so bad my whole PC was unresponsive, resulting in me having to manually pull the plug on my PC to restart it, and I can't recommend it in good faith. If the devs see this, I am playing with a Vive Cosmos, if that helps troubleshoot the issue.
