I have waited decades to play this game. For one reason or another, I always left it for later. Honestly, I'm glad I played it. Graphically, the game is one of the best of its time—remember, it's 2003, the first game to use Unreal Engine 2. But still, some studios were bringing too much to the table. These years were the strongest in graphics evolution ever. The sheer scale this game brings is the best I had seen before 2003. The lighting and high-quality textures look great, even by today's standards. Also, I could easily play it at 2560x1440 with no issues. That's impressive. However, the animations, especially in cinematics, feel like an indie game of today. Points of view, timing, and animations are really bad—which is sad, because they could have easily been fixed. This is perhaps related to the delays this game had, since it was supposed to come out in 2002, not 2003. Sound is pretty good too. The ambience and dialogue delivery are top-notch; they make you feel like you're there. Although, some scripted events could have been better. Feels they were made in a few days. Even some missions lack cinematics entirely. You arrive to a new planet with no objectives clear! Fee…

It should be a neutral rating. The game resembles a minimalistic version of Mass Effect without the RPG elements. The shooting part is decent for 2003, the weapon variety is great, but the player's movement is incredibly slow. The reason I would not recommend it is because the last third of the game is way worse than the first two. It feels rushed, and the ending sucks. No wonder Legend Entertainment was shut down soon after the release.
