BioShock Infinite

Played this when i was 14 and liked it. Played it again now and it kinda blows. Looks beautiful and the Design is great, but the combat is pretty boring, especially after playing 1 &2. Liked the Story when i was 14, but it kinda falls apart playing it again. The DLC's also look great, but feel incredibly pointless to me. Episode 2 is fun for a bit until the novelty wears off and then it just answers Questions nobody has been asking. Ken's a hack.

this game was really fun. kind of felt a little bit like it was dragging on. but i think it might be because of some gameplay changes like less weapons. so gameplay first. this game is more modern controlled than the first, and trying to keep pressing the older game commands took over a couple times. but i got used to it. it feels more fluid and faster as well as the changes from the second game keep the series interesting. my main problem might be that, instead of having access to 8 weapons at once to swap between, you are locked to 2. it does suck a bit and you get used to it, but as the game stared to feel like it was dragging on a little bit, it was definitly because i couldn't instantly spice up my gameplay on the fly with new weapons or alternate ammunitions. the weapon upgrade system is now broader basic upgrades like damage mag size, reload, the likes of that, but weapons don't really have their own unique uses and functions, nor is there an ultimate upgrade that makes a gun outperform in specific fields, while just being good solid weapons almost in any engagement. perks are also cut down into clothing options which is split into 4 groups. it allows some build crafti…

BioShock Infinite, a beautiful bore. To me, this game was incredibly mediocre. Now, I didn't necessarily hate it, but it's not something I'd recommend to others. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are great. I thought the gunplay was decent even though, unlike the previous two games, you could now only carry two at a time; I thought some of the Vigors were cool despite some feeling useless and also feeling like a step down from Plasmids; and I thought Elizabeth was a pretty decent follower/character. But where the game falls flat is when it comes to its story, pacing, and some of the characters that appear. Spoilers for the story: [spoiler] I thought that the first third of the game was actually pretty decent. I enjoyed exploring Columbia, learning about the world, the people, and slowly figuring out what was going on, how things worked. Then the longer the game goes on it starts to get into the time-traveling, alternate-timeline, jumping-between-realities stuff, and that's where I started losing interest. At first I was like, "That kinda interesting I suppose." But then I started to think about it, and the more I thought about it, the more it made everything feel meaningles…

It's some fun. It reminds me a lot of Dishonored which I could never get into, so if you like Dishonored maybe this is for you. I'm still deciding.
