When I first tried this game earlier this year, I experienced the following bugs within just the first few levels:

Sometimes after clearing a level, the next level loads suddenly, and your time for the level you just cleared gets erroneously saved as your PB for the level that just loaded instead (even if you've never played it).
Same as above, but this time, the flag that keeps track of whether you've found the collectible in a level gets erroneously saved to the next level instead.
Sometimes if you press or hold certain inputs while a level loads, the level timer will already be running before the countdown timer finishes, the countdown timer itself will slowly drift to the right off the screen, your character will spawn in the wrong place, and/or your character will appear stuck in an animation until you start moving.
Sometimes after clearing a level, your time will overwrite your PB even if your PB was faster. This can cause you to lose trophies.
I reported some of these bugs after playing, but they remain unfixed. Today, I tried playing the game again while being careful with my inputs so as not to trigger any of the bugs, but that didn't work…6 found this helpful
Fun IL based platformer, none of the games challenges (collectible, speedrun times, and hitless levels) are too hard but it's a fun and chill experience overall. No real complaints besides the game could probably be a bit cheaper, but it goes on sale for fairly cheap so that takes care of that.5 found this helpful
Velocity Noodle (VN) is a stylish speedrunner where it’s all about completing the 48 levels within a set amount of time. You can ignore the timer and just finish a level normally, but then you’re going to miss out in terms of being taught how to utilise the mechanics. The timer forces you to get creative, and in turn, you learn how awesome the game becomes when you’re running around at full speed. I’m not normally the speedrunner type but I do enjoy the arcade nature and the learning curve when the games are accessible enough to a wider audience. VN is great about that, the times you need mostly feel right. There are some where you have to push yourself to the limit but it’s still friendly overall. The achievements are also excellent, they’re basically getting 48 gold times and finding all the chopsticks. There are 32 additional hard levels after completing the main levels, but they’re optional and luckily not required for the achievements. I’m guessing that these 32 levels are meant to please the hardcore speedrunners which is fine by me when they’re not tied to the achievements. In terms of flaws, there are a few minor ones that don’t detract too much from the game. Firstly, th…2 found this helpful
Velocity Noodle is a high-speed 2D precision platformer developed by Shotgun Anaconda and published by Top Hat Studios, Inc., built from the ground up with speedrunning and mechanical mastery in mind. Beneath its quirky premise of delivering noodles in a neon-soaked cyberpunk world lies a tightly constructed action platformer that prioritizes fluid movement, razor-sharp timing, and replay-driven optimization. It is a game that wastes no time easing players in gently; from the outset, it makes clear that momentum, execution, and perseverance are central to the experience. The core gameplay revolves around chaining together movement abilities with efficiency and precision. Players can run, jump, dash, slide, and—most distinctively—throw a blade that acts as a teleportation anchor. This teleport mechanic fundamentally defines the game’s identity. By throwing the blade midair and instantly warping to its position, players can extend jumps, bypass hazards, and craft creative shortcuts. The system encourages experimentation, allowing advanced players to discover unconventional routes or skip sections entirely with clever positioning. When mastered, these mechanics create an exhilarating…
hidden gem! this game looks gorgeous and plays even more gorgeous. its a speedrun style platformer like meat boy, but a mechanics based one like celeste. the controls are tricky, but you'll get used to them quick enough. plus, pixel anime girl go weeeeeeeee
https://youtu.be/s5zrPYoDzG4 Lacking in contrast between foreground and background elements makes for levels that are much harder to read than is likely intended for players learning the mechanics.
