"VERGJORN" is a really bare bones/low poly student assignment tier "survival" game that looks a lot like it's the result of mucking around with an off-the-shelf survival engine like Indie Marc's Survival Game Engine on the Unity Asset Store. But this plays much worse than an asset flip would, so it's really up in the air. Either way, this is a terrible game, riddled with bugs, no tutorial so you have to work out how to play, not that there's any reason to want to. And the visual design is a train wreck. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Каждое новое прохождение уникально благодаря процедурной генерации уровней и разнообразным улучшениям, которые можно получить для своего персонажа. Боевая система динамичная и требовательная к навыкам игрока, заставляя продумывать каждый шаг и использовать окружение в своих интересах. Несмотря на кажущуюся простоту, игра предлагает глубокую механику и множество секретов, которые интересно исследовать. Порадовало наличие различных игровых классов, каждый со своим уникальным стилем игры. Отдельно стоит отметить отличный саундтрек, который идеально дополняет атмосферу. Из минусов можно отметить некоторую однообразность врагов и иногда чересчур высокую сложность на начальных этапах. Однако, эти недостатки с лихвой компенсируются увлекательным геймплеем и желанием пройти игру до конца. 'VERGJORN' - отличный выбор для любителей хардкорных roguelike-игр с красивой графикой и интересным сеттингом. Рекомендую!
