You can come up with your own baseline setup but are still slower than most? Don't know what to do to gain that extra speed to compete for podium spots? The Virtual Race Car Engineer is for you. VRCE fine tunes your existing baseline setup to get the most out of the car… fast. Offering whole-lap and corner-specific advice, VRCE will get the very best out of your setup. In the process, the driver tailors the setup to his individual needs and feel. The end result is a comfortable, reliable, and fast race setup ready to challenge for top positions.
Choose Your Session
Testing - Enter your results from a test run, report your handling impression, and the software recommends setup changes to cure your condition in the Lap Wizard. Then, using the Corner Wizard, focus on a specific corner to even further tune your setup to maximize speed through individual corners.
Qualifying - Virtual Race Car Engineer now provides additional advice for single-lap or timed session qualifying setups. Qualifying higher up the grid and avoid the turn-1 wrecks.
Race day - Finally, on race-day use the Race Session and Lap Wizard to help you deal with any changes to your setup that may arise due to weather or variable track conditions. Virtual Race Car Engineer offers pit-lane-only solutions in Race Session mode.

To be able to unlock that extra 10th or 200th of a second you need VCE 2020 to help you. It is a must have addon to rfactor2 for me. Use it on the same PC runnning in the background or 2nd/4th monitor or over the network.14 found this helpful
It's not a bad program to use, especially if you are new to sim racing. This is a great way to learn how to build the setups or at least make the car do what you want it to do. Also gives you a better understanding on why the car is understeering, oversteering, etc. I know there is a newer version of this tool but I would actually recommend this one. I also think its a little bit expensive considering that you could literally just look up a guide and would tell you how to adjust the setup, that is if such a thing exists for the sim that also isn't an hour long video of a dude talking mindlessly. It's not a bad tool but not the greatest either. Personally, this would be something I would use if I were to go into a sim that I've never played before or use if it's been a while since I've been behind the wheel to refresh my memory. Overall, I rate it 8/10 because this is something that a beginner can use as well as higher skill levels. Does it work? Yeah, that is if you understand how suspension works fairly well and also understand that is all about compromise when adjusting each thing. Also understanding your car's flaws is critical too to ensure a good setup. Give it a shot.9 found this helpful
This tool is amazing and has improved my lap times from 3 tenths to a full second and a half. It truly is an invaluable piece of software, and my overall knowledge of set ups and what each individual moving piece does has grown from using it. I was enjoying this app until I got my security report from tend micro according to that virtual race car engineer gave me not just 1 but 12 viruses also Spyware i thought steam screened apps sold on there store emailed the app creator still no response6 found this helpful
