A mysterious deadly plague has infected the city of Sun Stone, and all communications with the city administration have been cut off.
You are the appointed commander who must assemble a strike team and deploy them within the epicenter to find answers before the plague spreads beyond the city limits. You will get to make strategic decisions that will impact the status, supplies, and sanity of your squad, and tactical decisions that will impact the survival chances of your strike team during combat engagement with the creatures. The lives of your men are in your hands and the story will be shaped according to your choices. The game is rather short but emphasizes the replayability factor making each playthrough as unique and fresh as possible by giving you different new gamesbonus options, a bit of randomly generated content, achievements with rewards on the next game, multiple strategic choices with various outcomes, multiple paths, multiple endings and multiple ways to play.
Fair Warning: the game can become very hard if you get too greedy. The game contains 5 chapters represented by the 5 stages of DEFCON:DEFCON 5  - the initial stage of the outbreak, the first contact of the strike team with the quarantine city.DEFCON 4 - things spice up, new types of infected appear, maps become bigger, and event pools refresh.DEFCON 3 - here there will be all Bosses encounters. Think outside the box.DEFCON 2 - all you learned so far and more, maps become bigger, all stakes are amplified, and difficulty is increased.DEFCON 1 - all choices you made so far in the game since the beginning will now have a direct impact on the gameplay and on the ending cutscene. Each difficulty setting has its unique layout in how many days each DEFCON has.The game has a Lovecraftian - Military theme, mixing Real-time strategy gameplay with heavy Horror elements.                                                        Good luck Commander!

Go read Alitari's review, I pretty much agree with everything he said. Also, if it is the first game of Chromosome Evil trilogy you'll play, do yourself a favour and PLAY THE DEMO before. You'll be able to judge for yourself if you want to invest your time and money in the game. I'll be short. - Hit or miss, a some small bug here and there, a lot of die and retry, autosave is the saving grace, CONSTANT need to babysit the soliders in terms of pathfinding. But, - Really like the universe, the core gameplay is fun, bosses are really cool in terms of design or mechanics (except the ~~spooder~~ spider, F him >:( ) If you look beyond the flaws of the game, you'll be able to enjoy it, A LOT. I litteraly played for 17h, in 3 days while doing normal and hard difficulty ;-; Now, I'll just talk for a bit. (mix review - mix personal) The game has flaws, and not small ones. I'll be the n+1 person to complain about the pathfiding. Tho, I did saw some response from the dev in other comments. Apparently, the pathfinding "suck" because with this, the dev were able to make more complex environment. The other option "was to have solid pathfinding, but with empty environments(exteriors) lik…

The game carries itself like some niche little flash title, problem is it also feels like you're just playing Mud and blood 2 as in... it's not very fun Will I continue playing it despite still having the ability to refund it ? Probably The Good: - Cute sprite work - Easy to pick up and play - Unlocking parts of the map to progress seems like a interesting mechanic The Bad: - Very gimped character, resource and inventory selection unless you play a few times - Resources needed to get almost anything are very stingy, you might have to pull of a successful scrap mission only to afford like 1-2 weapon upgrades or a single piece of weaponry - LMG needs to "wind up" each time before it fires, you can't even go behind something like a table to deploy it preemptively so that it fires the moment the infected start rushing in - The engineer and medic class carry no weapons of their own, and the engineer is basically required to have on your team or you have little chance of actually being able to do anything - The time between waves are so low that you basically have no respite to do anything, either the amount of enemies need to be decreased, the time between waves increased or shoots t…

The best part about this game is also the only really good part about it and that is the "hold and search this location" parts where you actually have 100% influence everything else is mobile game level RNG decissions that are thrown at you to artificially make the game harder. i feel like this game has everything it needs to be really good but because everything is at the wrong place and done in a weird way nothing feels intuitive and you do and fail doing the same maps over and over again to get better stuff so you can fail at a later point. them not really knowing what they do can be seen in the difficulty settings. progress is tied to Achivements, you for excample loot a number of ammo and get new weapon equipment or you save a characer in a map and get a new starting character for you next run. but Achivemens are disabled on Easy which means you HAVE TO grind normal difficulty to unlock the Achivements or you are for every stuck with the most basic starting equipment and team. After i asked why this is the case i was told easy is for people who already finished the game and have the achivements and that want to do a more casual run after they unlocked everything. in which …

After doing 3 normal run 2 hard run and 1 insane run and nearly completing the game achievements I can safely say that the game provided me with some really fun tactical gameplay. My only gripes is that the skills on the units when leveled up is to RNG. aside from that, I had some fun and sated my loot rat quirk in trying too loot everything. over all its a 4/5

The game is really great! If you are a fan of the apocalypse, zombies and the end of the world, i would highly recommend this game. It is really worth it! The price is fair! The game itself has a unique charm and a very nice nostalgic feeling while playing! The music, graphycs and the combat sistem are great! I have no complaints about anything! So? What are you waiting for? Let's clear the world of zombies together!
