Winter's Symphonies

Before staring Winter’s Symphonies I was very curious about the story it has to tell. This game looked simply gorgeous to me and since I am a huge fan of Visual Novels, due to their storytelling, I was very eager to find out more about Sophie’s story. Sophie returns to her hometown after leaving a lot of things behind. She just desires a quiet and peaceful life after everything that happened. One day she meets an old friend on the train. Later on, he even moves into her house. Although she doesn’t want him to find out about her past it’s unavoidable. Both of them are starting to get closer and figuring out their dreams. I have to admit, I expected Winter’s Symphonies to be another light-hearted Visual Novel with a touch of dramatic moments, yet this game managed to totally threw me off by its unexpected events. Although Winter’s Symphonies does contain a few light-hearted scenes, it deals with very serious topics and I ended up totally sympathizing with Sophie. She really has one of the worst luck and while the story is nothing really outstanding, I ended up getting hooked until the end while hoping for Sophie to get back her confidence. The story of a woman struggling to find happiness and leaving her sad past behind her. It will resonates with everyone who had to face loneliness in their life, and hopefully help them find their way too.
