"Wizened Dream" is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam. This minimalist mobile app has you reveal a narrative based on shifting cards around... the concept doesn't work well and the phoned in, 3 hours effort graphical design was one of the contributing causes of this as a complete failure to attract the interest of PC gamers. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy" and looks bad as a result of their lack of interest in doing their job properly. Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is not so they can look at lazy, phoned-in (geddit, because this is a mobile app) half efforts like this. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though t…3 found this helpful
If you have a few hours to burn I would highly reccommend this game.2 found this helpful
a good game, especially being a first. There are a few bugs, a few quirks, one of which seems to make the second chapter impossible. Even with those, it was still a good experience. A great take on the tabletop card-stacking genre. I hope to see more from this developer in the future
