Different cards have different effects including attacking (mental damage), healing, damage-immunity and so on. Clicking on them in a reasonable order is the key to success.

Of course, you can also use skills to shuffle the cards. In addition to shuffling, you will also gain more skills during the game, which can form diverse and powerful combinations to help you overcome various challenges.

White Night Dream, developed and published by Renka, offers a distinctive blend of card-based strategy and rogue-lite gameplay set against a hauntingly surreal backdrop. From the outset, players are drawn into the story of a young girl chasing a runaway cat through shadowy streets at the stroke of midnight. This premise sets the tone for an atmospheric journey that is both mysterious and fleeting, mirroring the ephemeral quality of dreams themselves. Rather than relying on traditional mechanics, the game uses a card-flipping system that cleverly simulates the passage of time during this brief yet seemingly endless night. Gameplay centers around navigating various locations represented by sets of cards, each imbued with unique effects. Players must carefully select which cards to flip in a strategic sequence, balancing offensive, defensive, and healing options to progress. This simple yet nuanced mechanic requires players to think critically and adapt their approach with every new set of cards, especially as they unlock new skills that can shuffle the deck or enhance their abilities. The evolving combinations add depth and variety, encouraging experimentation and rewarding strategi…

There aren't many reasons to recommend this game. My reason is simple, it's a relaxing game that doesn't require much from you. It's cute, but a little nonsensical, and fairly repetitive. I wasn't sure what was going on for most of the game. I didn't really care, because I played to take a break and not have to think much or figure out a new skillset. It's the type of game you play after a really busy week for a little bit. The music, to me, was very relaxing and amplified the overall "taking a break doing nothing" feel of the game. I liked the art, or mostly the color palette, which again contributes to the relaxing vibe. It doesn't offer much in gameplay or narrative. The game page sums it up very well, you just click on cards that add or subtract on your hp bar and you try to last through the different levels to get the ending. It's not a game you'll play and get super obsessed with. It can most likely get repetitive and boring if you play too long, but I didn't play long periods of time on each session, so I recommend just doing a run to relax and then turn it off for the next time. It's definitely on the casual side of games. If this kind of game that you might find relaxi…
