Worlds of Aria

I feel it's maybe a 2/5 - 3/5. It's a good game with animation, but I find it a little too simple and it gets boring after a while. I preferred For The King as a co-op game.

Notch one up for Critical Role on recommending a fun party game. You and up to three other friends choose characters to go on a D&D-lite adventure, where you make choices by dragging your miniatures around the board, often times rolling a d100 to find out whether you succeed or fail, and the story progresses onward. This game CAN be played solo, but SHOULD be played with a group of friends speaking out the parts out loud. It can feel a little dull at times, but all in all it's a decently-made game.

This is a FANTASTIC couch coop game. This is also a wonderful game if you have a friend who is like "I dOn'T PlAy ViDeO GaMeS...." Just tell them, "Dude it's like a choose your own adventure book, you don't have to do anything but choose a path." "Well I don't read..." At that point I give you permission to ditch them, you don't need that kind of negativity in your life. Anyways, this is a wonderful indie game, it has not gotten the hype it deserves. Please buy it and support these developers. Thinkning of making a guide though, unfortunatly there is no guidence on decisions on the web yet, so you are largely on you own. There is a reset chapter at the end of each, which I wish I had seen earlier in the game. Only one chapter with spiders so far if you are wondering, the game warns you in advance, which I appreciate so much more than they will ever know. Thank you. Please buy this game, it is worth so much more than the purchase price, and has soooooo much entertainment.

Have been playing this weekly with a group of friends for a short while - it is great hilarity playing through, with a variety of different outcomes and good humour leading you through. If you're looking for serious, deep roleplay? This isn't for you - but a bit of fun, with slightly silly characters, using tabletop mechanics and you're having a lovely time. The friends pass is a fantastic addition allowing you to take friends along for the journey, but for those dedicated have their own copy for the solo run as well. Huge win for the consumer in getting their friends to enjoy the content of the game, one of our favourite games to play as a group this year!
