You're Not Family

I can fully recommend everyone to play this (unless you absolutely hate rhythm games, maybe). The story is very deep and moving (read the other reviews for more details), and the gameplay is simple but works well and fits the story. The game is very short but this is mentioned in the description and the game is free, so this is not a negative at all. More people need to see and play this game! I hope to see more games from Atiya in the future!

I'm not good at reviews. But this game hits a lot of buttons, especially with the use of sound. So, recommended!

Nice little game with a deep message

Concept is cool I think. Gameplay wise there are problems. The music/note hit timing feels horrible. Like a badly charted Frets on Fire song. And the placement of the music / hit ribbon makes it so you can't even peripherally see what the rabbits are doing at the dinner. Didn't look at them once. So really my only complaints are the timing and the placement of UI/scene elements. I can't recommend with these problems even if free. If the author fixes these, I will whole heartedly recommend. Just not yet.

"You're Not Family" is a simple rhythm QTE game where the game isn't the main goal, which is a problem... this is more of an "art narrative" experience about the developers apparently unhappy family life, thrust onto Steam Direct in case we care. Take on the role of a rabbit visiting family and having a conversation with them. Surely this is the future of video gaming. Trying to address serious issues such as mental and emotional health through the medium of video games is misguided and can be harmful. While it's plausible to suggest the intention was noble, this can do more harm than good. The "developer" here is not a professional in areas of mental health and social problems, and when they use video games to pretend they are, this is not only utterly ineffective, it can be harmful. It's my opinion that it's improper to use video games to address mental health issues. Apart from the harm such hamfisted attempts at addressing social problems can cause, this offers zero benefit to PC gamers. People suffering from health issues or other social problems should seek out professional help rather than going to crap shovelware video games attempting to get attention/fame by explo…
