I didn't really know anything about this game when I first played it beyond that it was nominated for GotY at The Indie Game Awards. I don't think I was emotonally prepared for what I just experienced; I figured the narrative out about halfway through chapter 2 and then sobbed through to the end of the game, so I got that going for me. Beautiful, sad, hopeful, and messy. I could do without the religious stuff though. AVOID | LACKING | MAYBE | WORTHWHILE | COMPELLING | UNMISSABLE1 found this helpful

i cannot stop crying. i don't even know what to say really.. just one of the most devastatingly moving games i've ever experienced. it touches on a subject that is so under discussed in media and it really does just hit you like a truck. the humanity and the emotions of it all.1 found this helpful

Cried.
Go in blind? Sure. But honestly... knowing what this story entails doesn't lessen its impact or effectiveness in the slightest. Wonderful game.
