About Zefyr: Prologue

"Zefyr: Prologue" contains the first chapter of "Zefyr: a Thief's Melody". It's a tribute to old adventure games like "Beyond Good & Evil" and "Zelda Windwaker"; it features exploration, dialogs, fights, puzzles, collectibles and huge Boss battles, all wrapped in a colorful world with a contemplative and feel-good atmosphere.

Run, jump, and climb wherever you want, travel between islands on a turtle, and discover a colorful open world!

Be it pirates, guards, robots or other thieves, you'll face many challenges during your missions. You are free to play sneakily or go straight to confrontation. But choose carefully!

During your journey, you'll find ancient Guardians. Some will block your path, others will be well hidden. Will you be able to bring back peace to these giant creatures?

Look for sick animals and cure them with fruits! Collect flowers, discover lost paintings... Many side quests await you in this feel-good world. Will you find them all?

Players praise the prologue's atmospheric design, beautiful visuals, and engaging exploration that successfully builds anticipation for the full game, with particular appreciation for the impressive achievement of a solo developer. Common complaints center on performance optimization issues that don't scale well between graphics settings, occasionally clunky controls, and some design elements that allow unintended shortcuts or lack polish. Most agree it's a charming, relaxing experience reminiscent of classic 3D platformers, though skeptics question whether it functions more as a commercial fo

A Beautifully Atmospheric Experience It's a captivating and mysterious journey that instantly pulled me in with its haunting visuals and immersive sound design. The atmosphere is rich, the storytelling subtle but impactful, and it left me genuinely curious about what’s to come in the full game. It’s a short experience, but one that sticks with you. Highly recommended for fans of narrative-driven exploration games!

I like it, simple, beautiful and fun. I hope the final release is better optimized, it has almost the same performance in the highest settings as in the Gamecube mode (the lowest settings).

"Zefyr: Prologue" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Zefyr". Zefyr is spelled incorrectly (it's Zephir), but I guess we shouldn't expect amateur developers to know how to spell. They can barely develop games, too. Anyway, while it's not the worst garbage on Steam, Zefyr (sic) is a basic asset flip looking ripoff of the latest Zelda game (even starts with a Z to make it clear how creatively bankrupt the developer is), with some weak, badly optimised and barely polished third person platformer brawling. Yawn. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Zefyr, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Zefyr: Prologue" too. The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to shell out a whopping $20 …

Very fun and relaxing to play! It feels like playing 3D classic games like Spyro, Sonic or Mario world.

I actually quite enjoyed that. Lovely intro, and considering it was made by 1 person over the course of 12 years I really do like the dedication. Gameplay wise It reminds me a bit of sonic with the climbing and overall environment. Other than that, the story so far isnt too bad, I do wanna know what happens next. Some controls were a bit clunky tho, like I could skip a part of a level by simply jumping around it. Enemies aint tough just overall a nice, calm and peaceful game. 10/10 cant wait to try the main game :D

There are not many games that captivates me, but I started to play the demo and it is great. Amazing graphics, great pacing, great gameplay, story and actually everything else... :-D. Incredible if I am thinking that this was done by one single person. Maaaaaaan.
