Ecosphere - Prologue

The game has so much potential. The characters and the background are beautifully made. The gameplay is so innovative for a visual novel. Definitely waiting for the release of the full game to see how this will end up !

Ecosphere - Prologue is not a game, it's not even an E-book... it's an advertisement for an E-book. Now you might be asking, "Why does a crap, badly written E-book need an advertisement?" or "Is an advertisement, which is not a game, for a book, which is also not a game, a game?" And the answer is, of course, that it is not. I firmly believe that advertisements for E-books aren't games, and you should not waste your time with them. I cannot recommend e-books on Steam to gamers, because books are not games. I cannot recommend advertisements on Steam to gamers, because advertisements are not games. It's a common mistake when unfamiliar with Steam to launch demos/advertisements as full games on Steam instead of tagging them correctly as demos. Here's the instructions for putting a demo up on Steam, to demonstrate that there is a correct process for this, which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. It deserves a pass because it delivers on what it promises and I didn’t encounter any bugs. Personally, I’m not a fan since it feels more like a "click-through-story" than a game, but that’s just my opinion. Others might enjoy it, so if you like this type of experience, it might be worth checking out—even though I personally won’t. Good luck!
