ZHONG XING NEW VILLAGE is a very unusual game because it mixes an online RPG with real world regional history and tourism. I liked the idea of exploring Zhongxing New Village while also learning about its attractions and local stories. It feels less like a traditional fantasy adventure and more like an interactive attempt to turn a real place into a game world. The gameplay combines simple combat with exploration and puzzles. I can move around the area, use close range and long range attacks and activate a range of skills. Solving puzzles and interacting with different locations gives me experience and skill points, so exploring is actually an important part of progression rather than something I do only for scenery. The housing system is another feature I enjoyed. I can choose where to place my house, and the house can help restore health and protect me from attacks. Upgrading it changes its appearance as well, which gives me a small personal space within the larger world. I liked having that connection between progression and the town itself.
