About Frontier Paladin

Isometric / Action RPG / Stamina Management / Action Tower DefenseStand against dark forces with a combat system that is challenging yet fair. Dedicate your successful quests to the Pantheon and gain their blessings. Gather various divine relics and tap their powers. Do you want to be a Sanctified Juggernaut, smashing evil into fragments? An Unyielding Stalwart, watching while wicked washes off your proud armor? The choice is yours.Your success draws the ire of local Warlords. A challenge issued; and one the Warlords are happy to respond to. Hold fast against the armies brought to bear against the Paladin Order's Fort. However, wielding a fast blade will not be enough to prevail. Utilize traps, turrets and barricades devised by the clever members of your Order, while the stronger members will follow your orders on the battlefield.

As Titus and his Order venture deeper into the Crater, there are opportunities to add valuable skills to the fledgling Order. Recruit, rescue or persuade those whose skills may give the Order another edge against evil. Titus follows his Master and their foundling Order and descends into the Crater, an ugly scar gouged into the heart of the Old Empire. As a Paladin Acolyte, Titus is still learning the blade and deciding whether a Paladin's life is for him. When the Crater turns out to be far more dangerous than they expected, the new Order must band together to survive.

Fun game! Especially if you like roleplaying as a Paladin. The combat system seems very fluid with it being easy to pick up and play with room for further mastery. The tutorial is very clear in conveying information to the Player too. The music and the art style really adds to the immersion in the game. Looking forward to playing more of Frontier Paladin.

Really enjoyed my time with Frontier Paladin. The combat feels satisfying, the world has a great atmosphere, and the stylized art direction gives the game its own unique identity. Exploring the world and taking on enemies is a lot of fun, and the game has plenty of potential. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you enjoy action RPGs!
Not sure how to feel about this game
It's well made, but also not at all. It should appeal to me, Paladin + Tower defense is a great concept and the skeleton of it is solid-ish.
What's wrong then?
Well, beyond the obvious glitches (Towers not building properly, UI is rough, animation like you are currently another weapons) there is a lack of ''meat'', the game feels Alpha/empty. Skeleton (well done) = animations, basic combat, art design Meat (bad) = Skills, strategy, exploration, player motivation I can see that the developer is talented, the game looks and feels great on the surface. This is why this is a thumbs up. However, I have rarely felt so confused or such a lack of motivation to engage with the game mechanics: - The map has a bunch of POI's but they dont explain why it's important to get them. they give you ... lore? Cash? What is the cash good for? I still don't know and I've played for 2.5 hours. - The quest marker is obnoxious, it points in the right direction, but sometimes it wants you to like, go back a little so you ''touch'' the marker so it can move forward. UH? - You don't get alot of time to place your towers. and it's not very…

First impression review: i can tell there is a lot of effort from the devs and it's 40% off at the time of this review so I feel compelled to leave a recommendation. the game itself is reminiscent of a warcraft 3 custom map with the control of the paladin character reminiscent of no rest for the wicked's melee combat. the paladin is a little weighty when he's sprinting, not as fluid of a control as something like diablo, attacks are a bit slower and leave you vulnerable. the character progression has quite a bit of variety for upgrades and abilities. the map is sort of like rift breaker: large and full of PoIs. you run around the map, occasionally coming across quests/NPCs that need a session of defending, which is where the towers and barricades, etc come in. you defend against a few waves of enemies and then move across the map killing bad guys and collecting loot until you defend another area. i didn't get that far, but that was the first hour of gameplay and due to the map's size, i imagine most of the game is like that. there is a lot of text and it's written well-enough to feel like i'm a paladin on a quest. there are some text bugs with missing spaces between periods…

Frontier Paladin has amazing bones, a super unique gameplay loop, and tons of heart. It’s challenging, tactical, and incredibly fun once you get into the rhythm of the heavy combat and base defense. Huge props to the indie devs for pulling off such an ambitious hybrid. Don't sleep on this one. Buy it, grab your sword, and defend the Crater! 10/10
