Dicevaders

After beating the game and most of the challenges I can say this game scratches the Balatro-like itch I had. It is fun, intuitive, but has complex mechanics to master. Overall the gameplay loop is addicting and has a lot of different styles of play (balancing mult, power, mini-dice, relics and units) and gives a satisfying difficulty curve to test your mettle. Some areas of improvement include buffing some of the pilots. A few of them (mainly the right hand side pilots) tend to be very RNG heavy and do not scale too well in challenging content e.g. Divinity or the Rage character. Overall, the game is great and you will get your money's worth. 9/10

Fun game, I 100%'d in 16 hours but also had played the demo for a dozen so I knew a bit where to start. Expect 20-30 hours I think overall. The more difficult end scenarios dragged a bit but I appreciated they forced me to play a few different heroes at times.

Dice vaders will invariably be compared to its obvious inspiration, Balatro. Is it as good as Balatro? No way, but what is? Divevaders is however, a remarkably fun game, with a lot of content well spaced, a good design strategy and a very agreeable minimalism about the whole experience. Definitely reccomended.

Really enjoying this one. I was very surprised by the number of different characters available, with different mechanics for each. Plenty of bang for your buck here and an easy recommend from me if you are a fan of Balatro-likes.
