AMAZING GAME- gameplay is fun and interesting, and its gameplay doesnt get old. ive had TONS of fun building my deck and doing achievements1 found this helpful
StarVaders is a rougelike deckbuilder where you build up your arsenal as you pilot a mech in order tp destroy the alien invasion in this grid based tactics game. Graphics- Decent style Soundtrack- Pretty good Audience- Teenagers and Adults Difficulty- A few bosses are difficult Story- Good story Game time- Solid Price- It's a bit pricey 7/10
A perfect mix of tactical gameplay in a deckbuilding roguelike, balanced well enough to mostly not feel frustrating. Although the gameplay is great, most other things are just so-so. The story is kind of just there, the "lore" is mostly irrelevant, you will not thing about the characters as much as you will about their differences and the mechs they pilot (seriously, is this game tagged "visual novel" for what reason other than attempting to reach a wider audience...?), the final true boss is technically impossible before you unlock Min's Button if you want to see the "good ending"... And while I do like the general implementation of the Chrono Tokens I do NOT like the by-now "traditional" choose-3 picking; I'd rather that I could pick from a wider choice without being able to reroll probably, since a lot of times your choices are not very good by design. Music and sound effects are okay. Visuals are nice. The game has a memory leak if you do too many runs in a row without quitting the game; not very nice, and I don't expect most people to run into this issue, but it's worth mentioning since I don't believe it will ever be fixed by the devs. Just saying... The time I s…
Had a lot of fun at first. Then I just lost run after run playing the invasion difficulty. I lost every run because the bosses just overwhelmed me with numbers. Tried building around this but they just produce even more numbers. I imagine you can overcome this if you enjoy beating your head into a wall for entertainment. Progression seems extremely slow and doesn't feel rewarding to me.
A wonderful combination of Slay the Spire and tactical turn-based shooters. Super addictive. Lovely graphics. Highly recommend.
Really cool game, I love nervous roguelike games like Shogun showdown or Cobal Core, and I'm glad to see this one also has unique twists. Good replayability and each character feel distinct. Unfortunately the art direction feel uninspired (Blobs -_-). I understand the intention for the music but I rapidely turned it off (super pop and it's the same tune over and over).
