✦ AI summary

Players praise Rune Dice for its addictive roguelite gameplay, beautiful pixel art, fantastic synth soundtrack, and high replay value that keeps them engaged for dozens of hours. However, some feel the physics system can be inconsistent and frustrating, occasionally making runs feel like they fail due to unfair RNG rather than skill, which undermines the game's physical challenge mechanics.

I really enjoy the aesthetics of this game. It is pleasing (and other times intense) to watch the dice bounce and roll around with their physics. The character/heroes have names with funny references, and their starting builds are fun to learn and play with. Definitely happy with this purchase.

Balancing can be iffy at time but nothing a quit out for good rng can't salvage. Recommend playing classic mode once unlocked, otherwise the runs feel too short but if you want some relic unlocks a single path is ok too. Said relics can range from useless to lowkey a clear check. Consumables are ok but there seems to be hard imbalance coming from Amplify+Gravity combo. Overall had fun for an indie game.

It's a different take on the card roguelikes, which I appreciate because there's a lot of those. The map can be a bit hard to work with without pulling up the full paper map like Slay the Spire has because you can't really see a lot of the spaces from the default view. Be prepared for a lot of grinding to get your classes to a level where they can reasonably handle hard stages and classic mode. If you enjoy the basic premise of the game like I do, that's fine, but understand that's going to be needed going into it. There's a lot of classes, so you'll be able to find something you like, possibly more than one. The aforementioned grinding can get old with a class you don't particularly enjoy if you're going for 100% completion though (personally, looking at you paladin/bard). I wish the Trident's Blessing relic would differentiate between positive and negative enemy dice, because currently it just causes your matches to ignore ALL enemy dice... which is fine until you get to bosses that have mechanics that you really want to be able to match with enemy dice. Because it makes your dice ignore them on bounce, you have to just get lucky at knocking dice together to force them to m…
