Played the demo way back and it hooked me enough that I wanted to know where the story was actually going. Happy to say it delivered. It's a point and click, so a lot of it is exploring and poking at things — but pay attention to what you find, because you'll probably need it later. The story is what kept me going. I wanted to know where it would end up, and the characters are interesting enough that I cared how things turned out for them. Feels like it could easily support a part 2 with more cases to solve. Some of the puzzles actually got me. Had to stop and think, go back and revisit places. But it never felt unfair, it just made me want to crack it more. About 4 hours for the full playthrough. Going back in for the achievements. Recommended. 10/10

An absolutely adorable little point-and-click game with a twist. The coziest of cozy graphics, music, and dialogs. I kinda didn't even want to leave the village, to be honest. The atmosphere reminds me of Toem. The puzzles were not too bad either: not a FedEx game at all. A few interesting solutions, and no insane inventory combinations that make zero sense. The game also has achievements for some of the weirder stuff you can try, even when it's wrong. And now I really want a banana muffin.

First of all, I need more people to play this game, because I need a couple of hints to finish it. Until I got stuck near the end, I was enjoying Aster Pebble. Good example of a simple indie game, not perfect, but with clever writing and lots of novel ideas. I'm recommending it especially for people who want to support indie developers. From their website: "Our projects are always DRM Free, open source, and Linux first." Well worth a few bucks from my bank account to support that, and I got a fun little game to enjoy too.

I played the demo first and thought it was very fun. I will be finishing the game once I have more time :3 Overall, the art is cute, the story pacing is good, and the humour is chef's kiss. Aster Pebble and the Case of Bad Bureacracy is super cozy and quirky! You'll definately have a fun time if you decide to play the game!

Aster Pebble & the Case of the Bad Bureaucracy is a fantastic Point and Click game! It takes a tongue-in-cheek look at bureaucracy (of course) while exploring a strange magical world full of quirky characters. There's plenty to explore but features a time system so exploring areas at different times yields different results. Everything can be clicked on, so much detail. Great story, even better sense of humour! For more niche curation, follow me at: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/27440015-CSH-Picone/ Want more honest niche & indie reviews? Overall it's a fun game from what I have played of it. I like the achievements and interactions. The game was updated to fix the issues I laid out here. Now the game is even better. I realized with the achievement issue I pointed out before I think I was missing some interactions that's why I don't have that achievement.
