About The Abandoned Planet

When a wormhole tears open in space, an astronaut is hurled down and crashes on a distant planet. But where is she? Where are all the inhabitants of the planet? And how is she going to get back home? Solve the puzzle and piece together the mystery in this 2D, pixel art, first person, point and click adventure.

Inspired by games like Myst and Riven with a dash of the LucasArt adventures of the 90s, The Abandoned Planet is sure to scratch that old-school adventure game itch.

This game made me realize how much I've missed the old days of abundant well made point and click games. This one is fun so far... but my only complaint is the voice actress. She isn't terrible, it's the chosen personality. IDK if that was a dev decision or what, but it is awful. She sounds like she is acting in a child's tv show. It's obnoxious and really takes you out of the environment when Dora the Explorer is excitedly commenting about everything. "Oh no, we've crashed!" Yeah, lady, why do you sound happy about it!? It's really off-putting. Next time I play I'm going to see if it's possible to disable it. A mindboggling choice for the character, to say the least.

Super fun puzzles, but the art and vibe of the game is what really won me over!

Really enjoyed this game and look forward to more in this universe. Puzzles started very easy then got harder, but never actually hard. I do wish there was an ingame notebook or camera as you need to remember symbol combinations quite a lot and my memory isn't crash hot, I ended up using my phone to take photos of the screen haha. The only other quibble was the backtracking in Act 3 grew a bit tiresome due to some unskippable animations. Overall though, great journey through a beautiful pixelly world.

Incredible storytelling of a creative, remarkable tale.

The narrating feels like Dora the Explorer lol, it is very funny (it's bad for immersing). The cut-scene animations are good and smooth, but some of them ended very abruptly. Overall not too bad for a game made by one person, the puzzles are very easy and straight forward.

Easy puzzles, bad voice acting, not fun.
