MechaNika

While I didn't hate MechaNika, it did end up feeling pretty half-baked. There's a lot of edgy stuff here for the sake of being edgy (including a strange and unnecessary transphobic caricature, with a slur on top), which all kinda just gets in the way of exploring the more interesting darker stuff there in the premise. The puzzles are fine, I liked the way the game let you tackle them in (mostly) whatever order you wanted to, but none of them were particularly memorable. The art and the music are alright, too, but nothing to really write home about. I would probably recommend skipping this one entirely and just playing the follow-up (Agatha Knife) instead, which generally fleshes out most of the decent stuff here and cuts out the overt edginess. But then again, this one goes for really cheap on sale, too, and it's short enough to complete entirely in about 2 hours, so you're not really losing much either way.
