Repackaged games like this are one of main reasons for why I believe copyright terms should not last longer than thirty years for works-for-hire. There is nothing you get out of this deal you wouldn’t get emulating the game through other means. If we ignore that and say this is the best legal way to experience the game, by patronizing a company that had nothing to do with its creation, THEN is it worth it? No. The player character moves too slow, the environments have only a couple decent setpieces to break up the dark, repetitive levels, and the combat doesn’t feel remotely tactile. No impact, no sound effects, and an overreliance on the jump attack. It’s not too difficult; you won’t need the save states to beat this in a day, because even when it kicks you back to the title screen, “game start” brings you back to your last checkpoint. Expand the public domain, crack down on IP parasites, don’t buy this game.

Legend (1994) is a retro fantasy beat 'em up developed by Arcade Zone and published on Steam by Piko Interactive LLC in collaboration with Bleem!. Originally released during the golden age of side-scrolling action games, it returns through Steam as a faithful preservation of the original experience. Instead of following the familiar urban crime setting popularized by many of its contemporaries, Legend embraces a medieval fantasy world filled with enchanted forests, imposing castles, dangerous caverns, and mythical adversaries. The story centers on the kingdom of Sellech, where the evil sorcerer Beldor the Maleficent once ruled through fear before his spirit was sealed away. Years later, Clovis, the corrupt son of the kingdom's ruler, seeks to revive Beldor's power to claim the throne for himself, forcing brave heroes to embark on a perilous quest to stop the kingdom from falling into darkness once again. While the narrative remains uncomplicated, it effectively establishes the setting and gives players a clear objective as they progress through the adventure. The gameplay stays true to the classic beat 'em up formula, emphasizing straightforward combat, stage progression, and incr…

The description reads, "Legend is a Beat'em up game that resembles games like Final Fight, or Streets of Rage. The game features a medieval setting." Bruh, just say it's like Golden Axe or Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom. Although, compared to those, this isn't as good. Controls are clunky, gameplay is not fluid, and at least with this version, the control mapping is awful. But... it's still fun enough to recommend, if these type of games are your thing.

A fantasy Beat em Up game in Good Final Fight Style... *Sigh*... They don´t do games like that anymore. Well. Arcade Zone did. And it´s a great game with SNES Graphic and Sound. (It´s actually a real SNES Rom with an embedded emulator.) And it´s fun. I gladly recommend it. Games like these are even more fun when being playerd together with a friend.

Ah.. The classic SNES game. It's a clunky beat 'em up with some catchy tunes, but overall without the use of a game genie or cheats I found the difficulty to be unforgiving. It's alright if you just can't get enough beat 'em ups and aren't too concerned with quality.
