Kung Fury: Street Rage - Ultimate Edition

So I bought this game right when it came out and thought it was cool single game mode game with smooth, albeit simple controls with great music and cool style. Fun little game that I would recommend. Then I come back to it ten years later and all the sudden there's multiple game modes, several maps, and two little campaigns? Sweet

This is nice for short sessions. I find myself coming back to advance a little bit further each time. I am positive about this game bcos i got it at a steep discount, it is not remotely worth the full price they're asking though. The achievements % give a pretty good idea how far people get in the game and since i get rare ones after a short time it's safe to assume not many people played this a lot.

Used to be great excersise originally, before addition of dogwater content like story mode, ♥♥♥♥ bossfight and unnecessary + unfun characters. Since nobody bought that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ content in form of DLC, they decided to fuse it into the main game and raise the price respectively. At the end of the day you're getting 1 fun game mode with 1 fun character and bunch of backgrounds with ton of additional dogwater that ain't fun and just takes up the space to crank up the price. Would not be an issue if they kept it all in DLCs with cheaper base game. But who would buy it then? Nobody, that's who.

This game is like an 80's martial arts movie had a baby with an acid trip and then that baby was fed entirely on a diet of Gerber's Mashed Synth Music. 10/10. No notes

This is a fun, albeit limited, brawler. The first game impresses with is fixed, rhythm-based two-button gameplay – you don't move your character, just strike left or right as enemies enter range. The simplicity is surprisingly well executed, and mastering the timing and enemy patterns becomes addictive. The story mode is mostly flavor, but the over-the-top '80s vibe pairs perfectly with the original short film, and I loved its cheesy energy. The expansion shifts to a more traditional beat'em up format, but ends up underwhelming. Although it allows free movement and more attack options, the combat feels stiff – there are no combos, no jumping, and attacks lack flow. Enemies behave like they did in the original game, which could've added strategy, but the clunky mechanics get in the way. In the end, if you're a fan of the short film like I am, it's worth it for the aesthetic, the humor, and the joy of kicking pixelated Nazi asses. Otherwise, it might come off as a pair of overly simplistic brawlers.
