About Double Dragon Trilogy

Three cult classics in one
- Double Dragon 1: You’re a martial artist called Billy, minding your own business as usual, when your girlfriend gets kidnapped by a dangerous gang called the Black Warriors.
With the help of your twin brother, Jimmy, you go kick your way to the Black Warriors’ lair to save Marian from a gruesome fate.
- Double Dragon 2: You managed to save your beloved from the Black Warriors. You thought that was the end of the struggle, yet the leader of the gang shot Marian to death. Devoured by grief and guiltiness, Billy and Jimmy get back to work to avenge her.
- Double Dragon 3: Three Rosetta Stones are scattered around the world. On a fortune teller’s advice, you and your twin brother go on a quest to seek them in order to challenge and defeat the world’s strongest adversary they’ll ever meet. But are you strong enough to handle such a hard task?

Double Dragon Punch or Kick?
All blows are permitted in Double Dragon Trilogy. Face off the fierce and the Black Warriors gang with your favorite moves: punch, kick, knees or just grab an assortment of not-exactly-street-legal weapons to silence them once and for all.
If not, make sure to try out the Arcade mode to go for the highest score (you can ever earn) or just go for the Story Mode to unlock new stages and achievements while beating up some Black Warriors folks.
Strong ‘80s arcade feels
Do you remember Double Dragon arcade debut back in the days? Set the difficulty to “original” if you wanna get those ‘80s arcade feels, but if you’re a pro, go for the “expert” one and show us what you got.
Original Graphics and an 8-bit killer soundtrack
Double Dragon Trilogy allows you to choose between the original 8-bit killer soundtrack and a brand-new remastered one. To enhance your retro experience, you can pick up original graphics to remember how it felt like to face Black Warriors back in the days, and a sweet video filter.

The original arcade trilogy of this two-fisted, beat' em up bonanza -- which, in time, made its way to the consoles & ruined friendships when players realized they could kick their buddy in the face!!4 found this helpful
A piece of crap from the past that hasn't stood the test of time. Strange hitboxes for enemies and heroes. If an enemy hits you once, there's a good chance you won't be allowed to escape the stun. Some things should be left in the past.3 found this helpful
Only play if you feel nostalgic. I can’t recommend it to new players. A 3 game collection, I played all of them. The launcher is bad. You have to wait 10 seconds just to start a game, and longer if you go into settings, and trust me you’ll need to do that. The first 2 games are similar, same backgrounds, enemy designs and attack patterns. It’s hard to tell whether you can hit an enemy, while they can overwhelm you easily. They knock you down and keep attacking while you’re getting back up, it sends you into another knockdown. Larger enemies have the same health as regular ones. Falling from a high place causes damage. There are whips and baseball bats you can pick up, but they don’t help much. The third game is in 3D style, the move feels slightly better, but still a no on today's standard. What crappy and lazy port. How the hell am I supposed to play DD3??? It was already a crap game to start off with. This is unacceptable and a slap in the face of fans. 1/10
Yeah, those negative reviews aren't lying. It's just a bad, incompetent way to play these games and I don't know why DotEmu still sells this. Double Dragon Advance is your better classic option overall. DD2 does have a new "easy control" setting that tries to change its weird directional attack scheme back to something more standard, but it's half baked and I noticed issues with it almost immediately. So, doesn't matter. Also DD3: It's incredible how immediately awful it is, I can't believe they bothered releasing it to arcades. It's genuinely the worst movement I've ever seen in any game period; and on top of that it's the first known game to include micro-transactions. And it's an even more unfair ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coin eater. What a trailblazer!
