About Inseco

How much of your humanity will you shed to survive?

Have you ever wondered if your moral compass would hold up when the walls start closing in? Welcome to the grim, suffocating world of Inseco, a high-tension horror adventure where every click carries the weight of a life-altering decision.

High-Tension Biological Horror

You are an evolutionary dead end. Experience the dread of being one of the last Vir as the world molts around you.

Narrative-Defining Choices

Will you find a way to escape, die a human death, or undergo the very metamorphosis you fear? Every choice ripples toward multiple divergent endings.

No Pixel-Hunting

We value your immersion. Focus on the puzzles and the atmosphere, not on clicking every individual pixel on the screen.

Hauntingly-Grim Aesthetic

Immerse yourself in a uniquely oppressive pixel art style that leaves just enough to the imagination to keep you looking over your shoulder.

Full-Sensory Terror

Every line of dialogue is fully voiced, accompanied by bone-chilling sound design that builds dread with every step.

Playtime

  • ~5 hours to experience every branch of the story and all possible fates, if you can find them.
  • ~1 hour for those who take every wrong turn and let their humanity run out early.

Machine Requirements

If your rig runs Windows, it can host the infection.

Human Requirements

Don't be afraid, breathe easy.

I purchased and started playing this game without knowing that I was buying an AI generated game. As I started playing, I thought the pixel design for the game looked neat, but it was a mix of pixel graphics and non-pixelated graphics that was interesting too... But then I heard the character speech. Clocked that it was AI right away, and immediately felt drawn out of the story. Then looked it up, and found out the pixel art was AI as well. I was very disappointed, because the gameplay looked interesting and I enjoy Indie/horror puzzle games. Only I don't think anything being AI generated has any right to label themselves as "Indie" when the entire concept behind a game being Indie is that it is thoughtfully made my small creators who are putting in their passion and human touch to develop something unique with their own hard work and skill. I decided to continue playing to see exactly what the game play was like to leave a thorough review. It is a point and click puzzle game that is heavily influenced by your choices. Some of those choices that can not be reversed that forces you to end the game in failure and try again. Which I did several times. All the words don't match …

too much of this is AI generated. Any AI is generally too much for me, but if it had just been one small thing I found out after purchasing I may have given it a chance. The visuals, audio, and even coding are AI generated. Horribly disappointing.

If you are against AI generated anything, do not get this game. It doesn't say so in the description, but the majority of this game is made with AI. Wish I'd have know that when this game came up on my feed, because I wouldn't have even wishlisted it. I feel deceived and will be getting my money back.

Poorly executed AI slop. I'm really disappointed in this game because I thought the concept was cool but the entire game is AI. I wish steam could refund time as well as money spent.

Great classic point-and-click vibes with a genuinely unsettling pixel art style. Getting every ending took some real brainwork, and that variety gave it solid replay value. Recommended if you like short, moody horror adventures.

I was thinking about leaving a bad review purely because it seems almost every element was made by AI but then the writing in the game which I was believe was the only human made aspect is actually really good. Like top notch imersion and world building. Its a strange game in its design that you can basically lock yourself into certain endings with out realising it. Its not a traditional point and click adventure game in that sense, its actually meant to be played over a few times. Initially when I realised there was multiple endings I was actually excited by this concept; I figured at best there maybe is a perfect sequence of choices that will reveal all of the content and get the best ending etc or at worst I would need to play a few times over to experience everything. Later though as I tried different things and progressed through different endings I realised the game is much more limited then it suggests. Like there is a ton of a locked doors, locked drawers, unusued inventory items, rooms that are too dark to explore and plot points which go un explored. I thought different playthroughs would reveal all but they don't. Maybe they had planned for a bigger scope but th…
