Womb of Worms

It was a cool game. I love this type of disgusting horror. I hate huge worms so this was extra awesome. The game is loud as ♥♥♥♥ so the loud sounds got me too. The character design is muito bom, it's like the whole town Look(ed) Outside ... ha ha ha The only sad part is that this didn't feel like much of a detective story even though the story is described to be one... There is a mystery and you do have to solve it, although the clues you find are almost completely pointless and you get most of your info from speaking to people. Even speaking to people is a little useless most of the time and there's no consequence to just yelling at them, being nice, lying and accusing them all in the same dialogue. Maybe i'm some sort of worm detective god and the answer was obvious to me and nobody else, but by just speaking to people and seeing who isn't completely quirked up and tweaking out you can do really well. There's also a useless anxiety feature? I let it go as high as 3 and nothing happened. I wanted to go to 4 but I accidentally ate a pill... Interesting, very short, narrative horror experience. I liked the body horror themes and general vibes of despair present in the town. There is not much to do once you finish your first play through (around 30-45 minutes). Other paths/dialogue options can be chosen during repeat play throughs, but much of the dialogue feels very arbitrary and does not mesh well with whatever "tone" you've chosen. Played OK on Steam Deck; I had one crash where the video froze but I could still hear audio/sound effects that made me force close and restart. Controls well with the trackpad as a cursor. Overall, worth it if you like body horror/these sorts of narrative games, but I can't help but wish there was more here to explore, as I did like the world that the developer created and wanted to see more of it.

Womb of the worms, is a short game. Yet I feel it is worth your time yet. the game shows you a rather ugly idea of an apocalypse. For the most part, you will be reading a lot of dialogue finding some items and decearning who killed your best friend. At the end, it will be your choice that decides will everyone live; or will they die? It is up to you.

Beastmode

Some of the most shocking mechanics I've ever seen in the genre. Huge potential in some aspects of the game. Upsetting and interesting experience at its best for a very balanced price.

It's very bad. The art is cool, the concept is interesting, the execution fails horribly. Spoilers ahead, if you care. This game only worked briefly because I got lucky on my first playthrough. I got the priest, so everything kinda just seemed normal. I guess he worships the worm god. On a second playthrough (runs are very short), I realised that the priest is actually supposed to be a very normal priest and is not supposed to be worshipping the worm god. The correct answer is just whoever is actively talking about wanting the world to end. The surrounding story is also always the same, so I just made the same choices. Every other mechanic is confusing and I never used them. They weren't necessary to win.
