Hammerwatch

Hammerwatch is one of those games I've seen in the Steam store a million ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times. Every time I'd see it, I'd think: "Should I buy this?" Then I'd close the store, forget about it, see it again later, and repeat the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ process. Eventually, I bought it. And ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this game drives me insane. I'll be playing, getting further and further, trying to reach the next phase, and eventually I hit that point where I just sit there thinking: "♥♥♥♥ it. I'm not playing this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anymore." So I quit. Then, somehow, there's this little voice in my head saying: "Bro... you haven't finished the game yet." And then I start thinking about the upgrades. The different characters. The possibilities. The experimental builds. Maybe I could try this character. Maybe I could upgrade this instead. Maybe I was just playing like a dumbass and there's actually a better way to approach it. And there I am again. Playing Hammerwatch. It's basically a double-edged sword. One side is **"this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I'm done."** The other side is **"but what if I try this build?"** And unfortunately, the second side keeps winning. An very enjoyable action RPG that offer a great variety of classes, each providing a different way to play. If you can't afford a Rolex this is a great watch to hammer.

It's very basic, but fun.

Its fun enough, works out of the box on linux. I first tried to play it on windows 11 which did not work at all.
