It´s cheap indeed, but not enjoyable, you are gonna spend a lot of time killing enemies yet their growth rate is beyond your possibility. The damage enemies done to you is insane, while you give them only scratches. The enemies are huge in number, and you got no allies, nothing I´m aware of. (I´m stuck in archive floor 9 right now, all extra lives wasted on dev´s ♥♥♥♥♥♥, mean, pretentious tricks and traps) While enemies inflict damage on you per sec by just standing beside you, you must direct every attack precisely at them, the hitbox is weird to me. So don´t buy this game, it´s pretty weird and underdeveloped even years after its release.

This one was a real suprise to me. I don't even remember buying it, so I'm pretty sure it came to me in a humble bundle. It plays like a blend of Gauntlet and Diablo 1. You run around shooting and looting which would be pretty boring if that was all there was, but it also has clever level design like a metroid game, secret doors and rooms, and very clever and dangerous puzzles that keep you thinking. This game goes on sale often, so I also recommend wishlisting it and waiting for a sale. It's worth its full price in my opinion, but with how the world's going right now, every dollar is important so I wait for sales when I can. A few words of advice if you play. Don't worry about going through doors. They're not one way doors that prevent you from going back like in Gauntlet. You are ment to go up and down through the levels and you can always go back through them if you want to. Floor traps don't do damage. Well, they do, but the damage is 999 and you start with double digit hit points. Bottom line is a floor trap will always kill you in one touch. Plan accordingly. When you start for the first time, take a moment to try out each character. There's 8 to choose from I think.…

Comfy game. Not the biggest fan that nearly EVERY enemy type has a spawner, but it's fine. The adds and traps for the bosses feel like cheating.

Played through it in co-op, it sure would be harder if we didn't have a cleric or paladin to help with healing. The fights/action and finding secret passages was fun, but overall the maze-like structure of the levels was just annoying, not "a challenge". Will eventually be moving on to heroes of hammerwatch, then the hammerwatch 2 games and I hope there are some improvements coming!
