Tales of Zestiria

I play every Tales of game out there, and this Zestiria is the most ridiculous retarded sh.it ever. Tales of Berseria didn't even get anime adaption but this Zestiria got one? That's a shame. - Alisha suddenly got swapped with Rose, I don't dislike Rose but how they insert Rose into the story is disaster. - Controller support sucks, I had to swap between keyboard and my DualSense to Armatize to progress the battle (you can't change this unless fully restarting the game) - 30 FPS is unacceptable for a PC game, I had to use mod to make it 60 FPS - Morality is weird in this game - The protagonist is a somehow a little retarded - Sometimes I forgot the clue and had absolutely no idea where to go - The party formation randomly messed up, I set Edna as the primary Seraph and just few minutes later it automatically became Mikleo then later Lailah????? If you are big fan of Tales of series like me, you will eventually play this anyway. But if you are new to Tales of series, DON'T PLAY THIS SH.IT, go and play Tales of Berseria or Tales of Xillia first.

It's a great game in the Tales series ; and fun for a animae type game!:)

I truly wanted to like this game, and in a lot of ways, I do. The combat is a nice refresh for the Tales of series, the equipment system is interesting, though feels imbalanced towards early equipment. Main problem is the story. Its a mess that feels like two different drafts were shoved together. I will avoid spoilers, but the main story is a decent tale, but one that feels a bit railroaded. Nearly all the more interesting character bits are purely optional side stories that you have to hunt down. A lot of rpgs work like this, but the Tales of series is usually really good at interweaving these smaller character moments into the main story, usually only leaving stuff that you have to go out of your way for as optional. Here though, a lot of the side content feels far more interesting and rewarding, yet its just stapled on haphazardly. The cutscenes also feel very, very unnatural and stilted. Its an issue a lot of Tales of games deals with, but this is by far one of the worst. The models and camera work are enough to not have to leave anything to the imagination, yet everyone moves and reacts like dolls, as if only 2 characters are allowed to be living beings at any moment.…

First, don't mind the time played, I left the game open for a while. Now what the heck did they do to the Tales of series? these used to be my favourite games, and now... that's just terrible. The graphics look like they came from the PS2 era, the game is locked at 30 FPS on PC, but hey I can get over that. The truly terrible part is the game design. Whoever was game designer on this game should resign and never touch a game again. The game is meant to be a grind fest, so grindy they literally offer a "DLC" for 20$ to double your xp and money gain, if that is not enough to discourage you from playing this, read on. Once you get past about half the game, every boss will 1 or 2 shot you (on moderate or hard difficulty, I haven't tried others). The combat system is not souls-like, you can't 100% avoid all hits, you have decent mobility, but your attacks are close range, and enemies attacks have stupidly large hit boxes, to the point where it is almost comical. Your companions have the IQ of a rock, they can't dodge to save their lives. They can't really attack either, most of the time they just stand there and watch for some reason.
