Feels like a small/unpopular MMO that got converted into a turn-based jRPG in a couple of months.

The first thing you do is an MMO style fetch-quest in an open world.
Bland open world. Chests with junk are littered everywhere, much like trees or mineable rocks in an MMO are.
Controls are just a little too clunky (really resembles a cheaper MMO).
There are lots of small interactions that just feel unfinished (like rocks instantly vanishing if you hit/collect them or UI stretching in weird ways).
I could go on.... Anyways, I didn't even feel like giving it a proper chance because of how dated the game feels without offering anything even remotely interesting.4 found this helpful

Bought when was on Sale. Despite seeing negative reviews I took a chance. 9 hours in and I think it's pretty solid. The graphics, The music. The monsters. The Story. All the side quests. Runs smooth for me. I have run into two issues - when you flee a a battle they look a little choppy running off screen. But whatever. Then there was the repetition of one of the monsters coming closer through battle. Like it got stuck? But it cleared up after battle and I haven't run into it sense. Not sure if it was that one spot or me in general. I feel like the game is a mashup of all favorited RPGs. The map feels very open and you can run around and harvest items. They glow so its easy to spot. There are hidden chests on the map too. Sometimes I feel like the map could have a little more monster encounters. Which you can see - they are not blind pop up encounters. Powering up is interesting. You use crystal to empower your weapon. You can combine them in town at little workshop desks. The fighting style is pretty basic with the added move around on a map grid which is new for me. You can pick up new gear. It doesn't change how your character looks - which would have been neat. Weather…
I forgot to write a review after playing this game some time ago, so I thought I could warn others about it. Honestly, I really wanted to like this game because it looked pretty nice and Selene looked like a great character before I played (I discovered the game because of her), but... I really couldn't get into it at all. I've played many games of this genre and I've pretty much finished every one of them or, at the very least with the ones I've dropped, I gave them at least 10-15 hours as a courtesy just to see if they got better. To this day, this is the only game of this genre that I have abandoned before even playing 5 hours. The world looks nice and the story seemed like it could maaaybe be interesting, but there are way too many negatives to sit through in order to find out so I just didn't. Very uninteresting characters (Even though I really wanted to like Selene, which is a shame. And Daryon in particular is simply awful...), terribly dull and boring combat system, skill animations that almost look unfinished, clunky and awkward puzzles, obnoxious side quests, and an impressive array of performance issues even with a fairly good pc, as well as 7 bugs (2 of them forcing a …
After 23 hours I: - had changed the combat difficulty to very easy - found myself avoiding combat and side quests as much as possible to continue the main story I do not recommend a game where I am avoiding combat, a core aspect of a game. I was avoiding it because: - I do not feel I have any options - The game expects me to use options Result: Boss Battles are lost while feeling I am not able to do anything different I did not feel motivated to learn. The side content feels like running-from-a-to-b-in-the-same-beach-meadow-woods-style-MMO without the MMO-type rewards like cosmetics and stuff. PS: The achievements are also telling: 58% of players have the first Main quest achievement. Achievements after 10 hours of play: less then 10% The final achievement in my list: 6%.
Voice acting is really good for a small team. Games kind of janky with barren bits of open world.
