Gameplay, looting, weapons - Good Visuals - Decent Enemies - Meh Story - Meh 8.1/10

Hi, so I have been supporting this game for nearly the past 4 years. I started playing on my Quest 2 as a teen and now I'm back at it with a PSVR2. Good Job, CM. I have nothing but Good things to say about this game, it has helped Me mature and learn how guns work, what calibers they fire and just how beautiful Eeriness can be, Yes the game is a bit janky, but that's the point. The radius is a beautiful thing and i cannot wait to try out in 2 the radius, this game is just... perfection, especially with mods. I'm glad CM released this game to the Quest 2 years ago, I got to experience such a beautiful thing.

The best VR horror FPS experience I have ever had, period. The atmospheric, sound and game design culminates to deliver one of the most powerful and unique immersive experiences in gaming. The aftermath of The Event has you piecing together the universe yourself through exploration, horrific phantoms and unique missions. Being a VR experience it has it's own pitfalls but they are completely overshadowed by it's charm, universe and soundscape alone. With an active modding community that continues to breath life into this game. If I were to make a required playing list of VR games, this will forever be firmly #1 to me. What a wonderful masterpiece. (I used the Meta Quest 3S/Meta Horizon Link/Steam VR)

ended up loving this game. played for 50+hrs, but just realized i missed mission 8 and beyond for some reason; thought i had completed the game? anyway, i had never played anything like this. so collecting all the magazines and different ammo, boxes, magazines and then customizing guns seemed crazy to me. and the world just sounds scary with night being absolutely terrifying. e.g. my first night a creeper jumped at me while i was looting a starting shed and i fumbled my gun, dropped a magazine, my flashlight and ran back to base in panic without my gear; that i had to go back and collect the next day. if somebody explained this to me i'd be like like 'that doesn't sound like something i'd like at all' ... but it's awesome

Painfully cumbersome inventory management, endlessly respawning enemies even at your location (as you're spending an eternity just arranging your ammo), bullet sponge enemy hordes combined with awful weapon and ammo management. The realism of weapon management looks fun initially but the game really makes it infuriating because of the bad pacing / constant enemies.
