Explore an endless labyrinth of procedurally-generated caves – no two missions are alike. You’ll need to rely on your wits and your traversal tools to navigate through narrow, snaking passages and vast caverns alike. Dig into 11 distinct biomes, each with their own unique cave formations and colorful (sometimes deadly) flora and fauna.And with 100% destructible environments, you can shape the terrain as you see fit. Dig tunnels, collapse stalagmites and close off choke points to make your job easier.Your work in the mines will pit you against the many creatures of Hoxxes IV who don’t take kindly to your presence.Keep your finger on the trigger, and learn to defend yourself against hordes of over 50 different enemy types, all of which are keen to bite, slash and acid-spit you to death. Some fly, some crawl, some snatch you from above and below. - SCOUT: The nimble wayfinder. Light the way with your flare gun, zip around with your grappling hook, and be the first to fall down a really deep hole.

great laid back game so far !
Fun, lightweight, beautiful art style - however needs to be in CO-OP to unlock full fun.
The barrel-kicking minigame achievement is unfair garbage.
This is perfect game to play with friends.
Add crossplay
With the still on-going popularity of Helldivers II, I was interested to go back and try one of the more OG extraction shooters. I am sorry to say how disappointed I was, especially given its reputation. Compared to something like Helldivers, or even another Coffee Stain game like Goat Simulator 3, Deep Rock Galactic feels like a Roblox game with a slightly higher budget. It's style without substance. It's too repetitive and doesn't allow for enough variation between missions to counteract it. Even for a game based in underground caves, it feels too limited in its gameplay and environment. Similar to a Roblox equivalent, its art style and graphics does a poor job of covering for it's lack of diversity among objectives, enemies, terrain, leveling system, and even character customization. While Helldivers feels vast, alive, and populated, Deep Rock does the opposite. It makes you feel cramped, contained, and prevents you from feeling true immersion in the world the game is providing, or rather not providing. Even without the Helldivers comparison (as it was released 4 years later), Deep Rock still disappoints and falls short. If you told me Deep Rock Galactic really was a Roblox game…
