About Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Fight through hordes of corrupted foes as part of an elite Inquisition squad in this co-op action shooter set in the grimdark Warhammer 40K universe. Darktide blends brutal melee combat with intense gunplay while demanding teamwork—stray too far and you'll be captured, forcing your allies to fight through hordes to save you.
As Tertium falls, Rejects Will Rise. Built on the legacy of Vermintide 2’s best-in-class melee combat, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide introduces intense WH40K gunplay to the mix. Master the balance between ranged and melee combat as you fight through a slew of enemies. Feel the impact of each swipe, swing, and slice of a chainsword, or fry some flesh with a lasgun.
Darktide is a co-op game. Wandering too far, risks punishment by foes looking to immobilize or capture stray Rejects, such as the slavering Chaos Hound or the Moebian Trapper. Once you fall prey to such foes, only your teammates can save you! More than that, your innate toughness – your determination to press on through the pain – only recharges when you are in the proximity of your strike team.
Create your own, unique character and customize their physical appearance, voice, and origin. Choose your class to determine which unique traits and skill sets they will make use of in battle. Will you be a seasoned veteran of the Imperial army, a snarky outsider, or a fiery zealot? The choice is yours.
Step into the violent, dystopian world of Warhammer 40,000. From boiling hot industrial factories to the decaying water maintenance zone afflicted by constant acid rainfall - Tertium Hive is a hard and unforgiving place even at the best of times. Your role is to serve the zealous Inquisition by embarking on missions to exterminate the threats lurking in the depths of the hive city, or die trying.
Adapt to the erratic whims of Chaos with conditions- mutators that add a spontaneous challenge to your mission. Your team must learn to adjust, adopt new tactics and change up their loadouts to face these ruthless challenges.

id give this a 10/10, but I'm not allowed to take the Ogryns pants off, so that's a 9/101 found this helpful
10/10
All other facets of the game besides gameplay and performance are at a near-perfect level: sound design, music, environments, and most importantly, incorporating the large world of the grimdarkness of the 41st millennium. Gameplay, while still intricate, deep, and greatly fun. Still has minor shortcomings, such as small balance issues and a brute-force way of handling difficulty (throwing more and more enemies at you until the entire screen is either gunfire, actual fire, or a wall of meat/armor trying to hit you, which is very fun in its own way). 9.5/10. Upscaling technology will probably be needed for all but high-end systems, as the game is quite performance-heavy. Overall, an extremely well-made game with experienced talent not just in the programming and game design space.
This is a very good shooter horde game with decently unique combat, having skill trees that are more engaging than the typical +2% attack damage per upgrade skill tree. The melee combat managed to prove more fun and sometimes efficient than the gun combat. This game has 1 thing that most other people don't mind but for me it is a huge dealbreaker. The bots that fill in any missing player slots for me impair the gameplay. Sometimes I wanna look around and defeat the enemies at my own pace but then the bots aimbot enemies before I even get to do a single melee attack. I play with my friend so at least it's 2 bots instead of 3(would have been unbearable) but this mandatory bot system is bullcrap. Please remove this feature, wouldn't hurt anybody. Gameplay also doesn't feel very smooth and I feel like the engine used to make this game is a tiny bit on the weaker side but it is good nonetheless.
all for the Emperor
whats the point of toughness if melee attacks go right through it
