7/10. Get it if it's on sale. Fun little game with a large variety of systems, which are unfortunately explored WAY less than you'd like them to be.

I've played this game twice. The first time (a blind run) was from a few years back, and I didn't use any online guides. For the second run, I played recently and used online guides. While I did enjoy the game, there are many frustrating parts about it. For example, there's no point in enchanting any weapons or armour since the random ones you find are ultimately stronger anyways. This is due to the fact that there's a 4000 point cap on enchantments, so you can't create crazy OP weapons or armour. Another example is the quest system, which is stored in an UNORGANIZED journal, making it impossible to read through. The QOL for that is finished quests being dimmed, but that still doesn't change the fact that I have to scour through pages to find what I need. There are also hidden quests that aren't tracked, and I find it absurd I need to use a pen and paper to keep track of it myself. I ended up not bothering with them sometimes. Health items are functionally a time saver but ultimately not worth it since they take up inventory slots, and the best way to make money is through bounties which only 3 can be done at a single time -- I wish I could sell the huge amounts of adamantit…

Far from perfect, it is really enjoyable. It presents nice game mechanics, but the scaling ladder seems a little harsh.

If you like Dwarf Fortress and platformers, you'll like this game. BONUS: Works well both on Steam Deck and with my 8BitDo Ultimate wired controller on PC, although there are some times you might need to click with the mouse/mousepad to change names if you really want (not required).
