About Lost Ruins
A amnesiac girl escapes a monster-filled dungeon with help from a mysterious mage, uncovering secrets of the Lost Ruins through strategic combat and environmental puzzle-solving. Customize your playstyle with weapons, spells, and accessories while exploiting the dynamic environment to turn the deadly dungeon to your advantage.

A young girl wakes up in a dimly lit dungeon without any of her memories. Surrounded by horrible, bloodthirsty monsters, she is rescued by a mysterious magician, Beatrice. With Beatrice’s help, the girl goes on a perilous journey to find answers and unlock the secrets of the Lost Ruins.

Engage in Combat
Combat in Lost Ruins is both strategic and methodical. Slash away at enemies, burn them to a crisp, or even deflect their projectiles back at them. Arm yourself with a variety of swords, axes and other assorted medieval weaponry, and hack monsters to pieces.
Master Spells
For those with an affinity for magic, Lost Ruins allows you to cast a variety of spells through wands, tonics, and scrolls. Burn monsters, freeze bosses, and heal yourself when in danger. Choose what works for your playstyle and make a magic casting character that’s totally your own.
Choose Your Accessories
The world of Lost Ruins is a dangerous one and being armed to the teeth with awesome weaponry is sometimes not enough. That’s where accessories come in. Accessories are unique pieces of equipment with all manner of effects. One accessory might protect you against fire, while another might heal you when you’re poisoned. The right combination of accessories can create different strategic options for your adventure.
Make Use of the Environment
As you explore the depths of Lost Ruin’s dimly lit dungeons, you will find that while everything around you might bring about your death, you can also use the environment around you to your advantage. Elements within the world will react with other elements realistically. Flammable liquids will be set ablaze when in contact with lit lanterns. Ice magic will freeze bodies of water, making them dangerously cold. The more you understand the environment and how to use it to your advantage, the more dangerous you will become.

Cute game. Contrary to expectations, there is no hentai, just some mild boob ecchi. Too bad, the game could have used some ero-guro death scenes. Or not, maybe that would interfere with the light hearted atmosphere. ahem. so. the girl named Yuri (what a name!) is the best girl here, if my necromania/philia is to be trusted. There is also Lusty, the argonian maid. The story is what you'd expect from a 7~ hour long metroidvania, nothing special but it's not like I was disappointed. The gameplay is easy, tho a little clunky. I enjoyed all the spells and various ways I could build my character by equipping various items, getting synergies, and getting OP af. I hope the devs make a sequel or something.... too bad the cup merchandise is no longer on sale on their website....2 found this helpful

The game is not well-designed at all, that is all I could say about it in the nicest way possible. I can see the developer put a lots of effort and pour their love toward game into it, but it is simply not a passable work in my humble opinion. The pixel art looks gorgeous (always love me some pixel at in any type of media) and the animation smooth like sailing on tranquil lake. Gameplay, however, betrays all the hard works the developer has put into this game. I have not play a 2D platformer this clunky in my life and I have like play like 30~40ish games of same genre. To me personally, I think games of this type can be crude-looking and not that refined in art department but it should excel in making it as flexible and maneuverable as possible. Controlling a character that can dash and fly or using whatever method to traverse across the stages and conquer the tough enemies is what makes 2D platformer(those focus on battle at least) fun in my humble opinion. And this game? Your character moves like it is bound by steel chain, waddling in the deep water on a planet that has 10 times the gravity of the earth... And every blow she deliver is plagued by animation that takes an entir…
The graphics and music are really nice, though I do wish there were a couple more tracks at least. The combat can be a bit hit or miss sadly. Most animations are similar, just faster or slower. You also do not regain HP/MP at checkpoints so the start is a bit of a slog while learning, you will die a lot. The characters were interesting and the story was passable enough to keep me interested for the most part. A relatively short Metroidvania if you only go through it once, but also has 3 extra modes if you want more challenges. It's not worth $20, but grab it on sale for sure if you like the genre. Wouldn't mind a sequel, but doesn't seem like that is going to happen.
nice short game i enjoyed
Had this game in my wishlist for at least 3 years and now I'm wishing I bought it sooner! Lost ruins is a metroidvania that's tough as nails and has lots of charm to it. It's often on sale but is worth it even at its full price.Do yourself a favor and check it out. If you love games like Castlevania, you won't regret this one!
