Has to be the best RPGMaker game I have ever played. First thing you notice is simply how charming it appears to the eye. Its gorgeously crafted pixel art and level design results in a very effective visual storytelling. For being the developer's first title, the effort went into this game for its caliber is quite admirable. And the story, for what it is, is truly where this game shines. It feels like those fairy tales one would find in the Grimm Brothers' collection and the studio's other game "Little Goody Two Shoes" does probably even more so. They sure nailed the "suffering magical girls" feeling, and with that there's inevitably some essence of Madoka Magica in it. All the while being accompandied by a beautiful soundtrack. I wouldn't say no to a few more puzzles though.

This game is gorgeous. The sound design/soundtrack is impeccable. I love the gothic aesthetic, and the cute pixel graphics mixed with the macabre storyline. None of the puzzles are too hard, which made for a... Well I wouldn't say relaxing playthrough given the content, it was easy to pick up and play as someone who primarily plays cozy games. Literally my new favorite game, I can't get enough.

artistically very charming looking game probably heaviliy inspired by rozen maiden or touhou and thats it.. gameplay wise its super bland and boring, puzzles are not somewhat original or crazy nor interesting to solve, mostly you just go forward and do nothing, when game forces you to do a choice you dont even know it is a choice or a just a button for example (do you want to open a door? yes no, if you say no you wont progress in the game then why it is a choice?) also game presents itself as a horror but its not even a close to be a scary game. also it hints to be a slasher/body horror but all the killing scenes its just png images of blood, nothing interesting. lore of the game might be interesting but I dont have a motivation or will to play whole game 10 times again to find out the crazy lore developers put into the game, thanks but no never played yume nikki but pretty sure its just better to play it considering that the whole game is just a lcd random trip 2/5

probably one of if not the best rpgmaker game ever made

i originally watched a lets play for the original version on youtube - when i heard they were remaking this game, holy cow sign me up :3 highly highly recommend if you like horror rpgmaker games and want a fairytale esque storyline! easily one of my top 5 games regarding story, character design, atmosphere, music, art, etc. they've added some great features to this remake, including the ost for the game, refreshed art (i do wish you could play the game in the og art style as i truly loved it, however this is a minor critique from me), the extras menu and a readily available way to easily go through certain sections of the game. they have also revamped/tweaked some of the areas/puzzles you experience! i feel like there is so so much more i could list in this review, however i hope people to go into this game with as little information as possible. that truly is the best way to experience this game and see what unfolds as you progress. ALSO I LOVE LISETTE, ALL TIME FAVE IN THE GAME IDC. only gripe with the game is some of the gameplay can be extremely repetitive OR if you're trying to get all endings, you kind of need to go in with a plan almost on your first run. this takes away …
