Very cozy vibe

Honestly, I don't think I recommend this from a gameplay perspective. From a story and atmosphere perspective it's great - I can tell lots of love went into this game, but in terms of how much I enjoyed playing it, I can't say there were many moments I had fun with it. I expected the game to force more optimized paths in the puzzles, but the length of your string almost never mattered. There was really only one forced way to solve puzzles. I also felt like I was fighting the games physics more than trying to figure out the puzzles. On more than one occasion my first attempt on a puzzle was the correct approach, but because some moveable object clipped and got stuck on terrain, I thought there must be some other solution. So I'd try every other possible thing I could consider, only to retry the first solution and suddenly the stuck object moved and I'd wasted my time. The game SERIOUSLY lacks in the puzzle design area. They forgot to put the game in the game, but it is beautifully constructed, I'll give them that. It's also pretty short so doesn't overstay its welcome, which was nice.

An excellent game that’s simple to pick up, but definitely gets challenging. The gameplay is smooth, the puzzles are creative, and while some of them had me frustrated and scratching my head, finally figuring them out was always satisfying. The game is just beautiful. The environments, the little details, and especially the music all come together perfectly. The story is also really cool and gives the whole adventure more meaning as you progress. Don't let the cute and simple look fool you, though — some of the puzzles and platforming can seriously test your patience! 😂 But that's part of what makes finally getting through them so rewarding. I've already put 15 hours into it and I'm looking forward to a second playthrough so I can go back and collect all the secrets I missed. Highly recommend Unravel. It's fun, beautiful, relaxing one minute and frustrating the next — but in the best way. 🧶

This game still looks so so good and the story being told through the environment is such a unique and compelling way to progress the game and made every level feel different enough from the last. This game is just such a good experience. The controls can be a little hard to get at first, especially on keyboard, but eventually they stuck.
