A Mortician's Tale

Cute short game with a hefty price tag.

I think it was great to learn about the process that goes into preparing people for funeral services, and it had a good, solemn soundtrack, but I personally would not recommend this game. The gameplay feels repetitive and largely consists of point-and-click mechanics, with no puzzle aspect to add interest. Unfortunately, I feel I would've rather watched a documentary.

Respectful and educational look into the industry of death. Boring as a game, though. There's no real gameplay or challenge here - it's just clicking where you're told.

A very special game that confronts you with something you normally don't think about much. I don't mean dying, I mean what happens after, to your body. It was really educational and insightful. Definitely stayed with me for a while. This game and episode 7 of Midnight Gospel take a very modern approach to educate about the logistics of death and allow one to interact with the topic without the common stigma and fear of one's own inevitable end. I recommend both, as they are more than just entertainment. I think both the game and the Midnight Gospel episode were informed by Caitlin Doughty's work (who was gave her voice to the show)

I really enjoyed this. Learnt a lot about the ethics of funerals and the treatment of people after the death of their loved ones. I particularily got angry at that corporate scum good writing to portray a nasty boss. coooorrrr he annoyed me Big love for this game <3
