Manual Samuel - Last Tuesday Edition

This game is annoying on purpose. The whole point is that you must manually walk, breathe, and blink, failing repeatedly while Death doing a bad Aaron Paul impression loops the same background dialogue about kick flips and the narrator sighs at you in disappointment.

Such a highly entertaining and hilariously frustrating game. Having to manually control everything—from blinking and breathing to walking—is a brilliant concept that keeps you laughing the entire time. The narrator’s commentary is gold and thoroughly immerses you in its comedy. In my opinion, the length is ideal; if it were any longer, the controls might have gotten tedious, but they left it at the sweet spot. A very unique little game that is definitely worth picking up on a sale.

Персонажи все картонные, мир дурацкий — и я не могу этого простить игре с нарочито генерирующим фрустрацию геймплеем.

A product of its time

The premise is that you must perform all things like blinking, walking, breathing, swallowing, etc. on purpose in a deliberate manner. The premise sounded funny and entertaining until you realise quite quickly "Oh... oh they [i]actually[/i] want me to non-stop for the entire game do all of these things manually & deliberately." The problem is that [i]actually[/i] having to do that for the entire game isn't fun. It's an awful experience. It sounds like a fun idea on paper but in practice it obviously doesn't work. The entire point is that it would be hell to have to do all these biological processes manually, that's what the premise of the story in the game is... did they forget that that means it is hell to play as well if they actually make the [i]player[/i] have to do it as well? Or did they expect the reception to be "Wow this is so bad and tedious to play that it's fun!"? The attempt humour as well overstays its welcome entirely.
