Turns out being a ninja after a long vacation isn’t that easy. 30 levels of sneaking around, failing, learning and trying again. Short, challenging and quite enjoyable.

Ninja Stealth 3 is a really simple stealth puzzle game, but I think that is exactly what makes it work. I am controlling a little ninja who has to get a computer into a room without being detected. There are 30 levels, and each one is basically about watching the guards, finding a safe route and getting from one side of the room to the other. The game does not waste time with a story or complicated systems, so I can just start solving the levels and trying to figure out what the game wants me to do. The main mechanic is hiding, and I like how much it changes the way I move around the levels. I can stay behind boxes so the guards cannot see me, and I can even disguise myself as a box to get through areas that would otherwise be impossible. The disguise is probably my favourite part because it gives me another option besides simply waiting for an opening. I have to think about where the guards are looking and whether moving at the wrong time will expose me. It is simple, but some levels make me stop and actually plan the route before I move.
