Simmiland

I woke up this morning and opened up the steam store, and Simmiland was on sale for $1.30. I, a fool, bought it, thinking I'd just try it out for a bit -- after all, I'm familiar with some of sokpop's other games and I know the general scope/commitment. I played for 10 hours straight and got every achievement. It's 11pm. Bro, I had plans today. I had ♥♥♥♥ to do. I needed to get groceries, call my doctor. Literally where did the daytime go

Error occurs when starting on Mac, the application needs to be manually signed by the user to open normally. And there is a problem with the cloud archive.

This is primarily a puzzle game. It's not the God game you think it is. There is zero tutorial. While it's not strictly needed, it still would have been nice to not waste time figuring out how the game works. Your powers are represented as cards. You can buy more cards between your runs with the stars you earn by completing achievements or just by playing the game. Problem is that the more cards you have the more RNG it becomes which cards you have when. Not a huge problem, just a little annoying when you have to waste some cards to hopefully get the specific card you actually need at a given time. The map is tiny, but I guess you don't need bigger map since this is more of a puzzle game than a God game. The biggest problem, however, is that the gameplay mainly boils down to just remembering how you create each resource required to discover each of the tools/buildings/technologies, and in what order to do this. Your humans die off quickly either by starvation or by freezing to death, so you have to act quickly in the very start. Overall, there are just too many flaws for me to recommend this game! Too streamlined to the point where you don't have much to do. I can see why people like this game but I found it very boring.

Cute, fun and shorter than expected, but probably for the best. It can get frustrating or waity towards the endgame if you try to 100% it.

Having played long enough, unless you pay attention to the recipes/wishes and try to figure how the game is designed, you will struggle. Pretty Chill experience. Turning V-Sync off made the game run at about 2 or 3x the speed.
