About Peace, Death!
Peace, Death! is an arcade simulator with difficulties. In this game, you play as the Reaper working for your boss, Death, in Apocalypse, Inc. You face a challenge: go through a trial period of seven weeks to get a permanent job and advance the interests of your employer.
Features. You need to examine each client's feature to determine his, her, or its fate. There are more features every day and the game becomes more difficult. Your client holds a pistol? Send him to Hell unless he changes his mind and drops weapons. Is your client a hat-lover? Should you send him to Heaven? No, it's not that easy! First, take the hat off, and you might see the horns. Being a demon, killer, or an angel are features, too.
Catastrophes. These are unique events, they're unexpected and rapid, so Reaper is pressed by time. But you must allocate clients correctly to complete a catastrophe, unlock new clients and increase Death's influence! Unlucky pirates, bear influenza epidemic in Siberia, fighting for a free soup - these are only some of the catastrophes.
Events. Each week you will face a new event. The more days you worked, the more events you have. Trainees' phone calls, safes with smuggled goods, undercover agents of Paradox, kidnappers. They all pose some difficulties but help you to become the best in the biz. Why, you can even cook a soup!
Theme Days. Each seventh day is a theme day. You'll choose clients' fate for a unique soundtrack corresponding to the spirit of the chosen theme. Egypt? Certainly! Mother Russia? Nostrovia! Pirate day? Yo-ho-ho!
What else? Horsemen tasks, funny clients' phrases, lots of references and easter eggs, bonuses, penalties, very special clients ó all this will define your future as the Reaper determine the game ending!
Good luck, Reaper!

Peace, Death! is an inventive indie arcade game that transforms the grim concept of judging souls in the afterlife into a surprisingly entertaining and humorous experience. Developed and published by AZAMATIKA, the game places players in the role of a newly recruited Reaper employed by Apocalypse, Inc., a supernatural organization overseen by the Four Horsemen. Rather than swinging a scythe or battling monsters, your task is to examine every soul that arrives at your desk and determine whether they belong in Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory. The unusual premise immediately sets the game apart from countless other indie titles and provides the foundation for a remarkably addictive gameplay loop. At first glance, the mechanics appear straightforward. Players analyze visual clues displayed on each character and make a judgment based on established rules. A halo may suggest a righteous soul, while weapons, horns, or suspicious behavior often point toward eternal punishment. However, the game steadily introduces more exceptions, hidden details, and complex combinations that prevent the process from becoming repetitive. What initially feels like a simple sorting exercise gradually evolves int…1 found this helpful
Simple fun cheap
A fun concept, and a simple gameplay executed well. The first days are pretty easy as it's immediately clear who goes to Heaven and who to Hell; after the introduction of Purgatory, however, an increasing number of possible features on candidates makes so that a thorough and at the same time quick examination is required to assess the destination of each of them. Sometimes a single feature is enough but more often than not, a few clicks serve to reveal the truth and avoid mistakes - a fellow may look clean at first but what if their glasses hid a red light? Another fun feature are special candidates that must be sent to a specific realm no matter what, with only silhouettes on sticky notes to identify them. Fun as it is, the game grows repetitive because the additional features work more or less the same: a new feature is introduced and automatically determines Hell or Heaven at first, then the rule is changed and it needs to be checked first, because the candidate may drop it and therefore be eligible for Purgatory. It however ends before it can overstay its welcome, lasting a few hours that you won't regret. As icing on the cake, the pixel art is nice and the variety of sprite…
Quick clicks and reactions, the main thing is not to get confused. The only annoying thing is that sometimes when I click on blood, a book, a weapon, etc., the click doesn't register and I have to click again (this happens to me personally).
Played it forever ago and wanted to play it again recently and I love the music.
