Song of Farca

I'm generally not a fan of this sort of art style and setting, but I figured I'd give it a shot just because it's a detective game. The game isn't very mechanically interesting to me. Just click all the cameras until something pops up. Rinse and repeat. I stopped playing once I got to the first interrogation because I didn't like the dialogue either. I'm fine with "woke" themes, especially when the characters are interesting. But here it feels like identity is shoehorned in. I figure if I played further, it would service the plot and make an overarching societal critique, which I'd very likely agree with. But I have no interest in going further because I think the dialogue is clunky and I don't like the core puzzle mechanics. This game has an audience, and I can understand why most reviews are positive, but this is definitely not the game for me.

I cannot recommend this enough. I haven’t gotten this into a games story in a long time - the characters are well written and likeable, the mysteries are intriguing, and there’s so many twists. I got it on sale but I would’ve happily payed full price. It seems the devs aren’t active anymore which sucks because I could play 100 more games in this series and not get bored. If you have a chance, absolutely pick this up.

I like the game and the gameplay. I do recommend for fans of the genre, although, the puzzles get repetitive. For a game like this, I would expect smooth dialogues, but their pace didnt match the game and they feel a bit rushed, sometimes extreme and out of place.

Very beautiful game, loved the story and the characters, the puzzles were quite fun though after a bit got slightly repetitive, some choices seems to have some important impact which I loved, generally a very great game
