Rhythm Destruction

Next up in the why is this game in my library let's play them from worst rated to best is Rhythm Destruction. In the year of 2026, this is another one that appears to have issues running on Windows 7 - 10, but works on 11. The concept is solid, and the price is not out of line, but the problem is it's not a rhythm game. It's a watch for the quick time, vertical scroller. It plays smoothly, even works no issues with a Steam Controller. But it's just dodging obstacles and weapons fire while waiting to press whatever button. The button presses don't even match the music so a major point of rhythm games does not exist in this one. The music is also generic and mid at best. I generally call it bad. Again a huge selling point of rhythm games is just not there. Judging it as just a vertical scroller it fails too. You don't have the power up aspects, your aim doesn't matter for killing, just making the quick time attack. Solid concept, very poor implementation. It's also too old now to bother with.

Boring graphics and uninspiring music. clunky controls and repetitive levels. you hope to finish quickly and forget about this experiment. not engaging and totally forgettable.

The genre mash-up doesn't quite work here. Then there's the bugs and crashing. Game is no longer supported and the servers have been switched off.
