About No Longer Home
No Longer Home is a narrative adventure where you inhabit the final days of two queer university graduates preparing to separate as visa restrictions force them apart, exploring their shared flat and relationships through intimate conversations and quiet moments. The game stands out for its deeply personal story rooted in the developers' own experience of long-distance friendship, blending mundane domestic scenes with an unsettling supernatural mystery lurking beneath the surface.
Wander through an intimate flat and examine the everyday belongings of Bo and Ao. Have BBQs, play video games, and stay up late just talking in bed. Follow the day to day activities and conversations of two queer, non-binary students and their friends. Get to know Lu, the multi-eyed, animal-like new flatmate.
No Longer Home was born when the developers were similarly forced apart after university, and decided to stay in touch by working on a game together. Development duo Hana and Cel chose this project as a way to explore and express the emotions that came with saying goodbye.

While I'm sure the game must have a lot of meaning to the dev's, that doesn't mean it's not incredibly slow and boring. I wanted to like this game, and I do really like the graphics and the way they change scenes and stuff, but everything is so slow that I really had to force myself to finish it.4 found this helpful
A trip down the last few days...
PROS: No Longer Home is a story driven, borderline kinetic point & click title centered around a couple leaving their flat. The title is entirely centered around that story element with most clickable aspects of the game just there for set dressing, giving more characterization & backstory with their time living in said flat. The characters feel very real, with Ao & Bo expressing actual concerns & showing moments of comfort & vulnerability. It feels very real in that regard, as if looking into a relationship at the moment where their lives are about to change. The visuals have a toy based pop to them in a very minimalistic sense & the soundtrack has an atmospheric vibe to it rather that actual songs being used. CONS: The story, though successful in telling what it wants, leaves quite a bit out. There are stand ins for issues people like this feel, but they can feel a tad disjointed when brought up. As such, this feels less like a story told on it's own merits & more like a story the writer needed to tell, something to get off their chest. That kind of thing is fine & has every right to be told, but it …1 found this helpful
Do NOT recomend. Imagine waiting 5-10 seconds for a ''scene'' to ''zoom in'' just for 1 character tell onother character that ''they should finnaly leave for the buss'', only for you to wait yet onother 5-10 seconds for the ''scene'' again to ''zoom out'' so you can go interact with things again. Now imagine EVERY SINGLE INTERACTIONS with ANYTHING (even just a character telling you his thoughts about their: ''messy bed. should probably make it one day''.) taking 3/5/10 seconds (YES I COUNTED! ITS MOSTLY 3-5 seconds, and for ''more important scenes'' (about 1/3 of time): 10 seconds) to "zoom in'' and out- before you can do ANYTHING ELSE. This isint atmosphere. Its UNBEARABLE. Noones asking for this game to be quick or fast, but the lenghts this game goes to strech itself is INSANE, EXSPECIALLY if you are a completionist(want to see everything/check every interactable object) and the character movements are JUST as slow. I want to follow the story but its hard when im a quick reader and it takes me to wait 10 seconds before i can start the next interaction with an object longer than it took me to read the 3 sentences of dialouge. Im not sure how many chapters there are but JUST th…
It's a personal story that really resonated with me.
A beautiful point and click experience. Many elements I was not expecting (the game with friends, Lu, Gi) give the game additional depth, I loved these moments. I found the zooming in/out effects and moving walls so clever and poetic. I have not related to everything, though I was somehow expecting I would relate to much more, and I think I liked that it was the case, feels good to see the world with other lenses. Thanks a lot
Brilliant game, may have nearly cried
