About Eat, Sleep, Bet, Repeat
Squander your fortnightly unemployment benefits in the betting shop punting on football and horse racing. Win big and live like a king and feast on kebabs and drink beer in the local pub. Take some exercise on the beach. Lose your shirt in the betting shop and you risk starvation in and endless cycle of eat, bet, sleep and repeat!
Faithfully recreated old fashioned smelly, dingy, smoke filled betting shop complete with authentic 3D horse racing and commentary (using the latest in speech synthesis technology) and sounds.
Study the Sporting Life newspaper, place your bet and listen as the race is played out in realistic nail biting audio commentary. Why hasn't the commentator mentioned your nag yet? Will it swoop late? Is it tailed off? And will Grimsby Town finally get a win this Saturday? Will you eat tonight or take another miserable step towards starvation, disease and death?
Take a walk on the beach to gain a health boost or visit the pub in a Monopoly 'community chest' style card rewards system and play the fruit machine.
Includes Steam achievements and leaderboard.

Fun game, recommend if you like to bet w/o losing your shirt. It's the only horse racing game I found, has an announcer calling the race. Yes it's a computer voice, and sometimes it repeats the same statement over and over. Especially if a horse gets a big lead. The graphics are kinda 90's, but that's okay. The jukebox doesn't work. Besides who has OGG's anyways? Oh and it's the only game, also doesn't have you taking care of a horse. I don't wanna raise a horse, I wanna BET on them! Wish the dev would come back, clean up the jukebox issue and some other bits. I f you liked Arlington Horse racing on Mame, you'll love this.3 found this helpful
This game is about gambling on horse races... with atmosphere of being a degenerate in 80s England. It has good, basic gambling mechanics with past performances and nice virtual races (although some deeper betting options like exactas would be nice). So yeah, buy this game if you want a horse race betting simulation on steam... that's what it is.3 found this helpful
Eat, Sleep, Bet, Repeat is an unusual life-simulation game developed and published by Strategic Designs Ltd.. Rather than focusing on the grand ambitions typical of simulation titles—such as building cities or managing large businesses—the game deliberately narrows its scope to the mundane and repetitive routines of everyday survival. Set in a modest British seaside town during the late twentieth century, the experience centers on the life of an unemployed man who relies on gambling as his primary means of making money. The title itself summarizes the entire gameplay philosophy: survive each day by balancing basic needs while repeatedly risking money on bets that may either save or ruin you. The premise begins with the protagonist living alone in a cramped bedsit apartment with very few prospects. At the start of each cycle the player receives a welfare payment, which serves as the main source of income. From that moment onward, every decision revolves around managing this limited money supply while attempting to grow it through betting. Players must decide how much to spend on essential needs such as food or entertainment and how much to risk in the betting shop. The game intenti…1 found this helpful
If you're looking for a game with flashy and state-of-the-art graphics, you will be disappointed. But if you're looking for a fun and quirky game, this is right up your alley Eat, Sleep, Bet, Repeat beautifully captures the spirit and essence of the dank, smoke-filled and crude 'betting parlors' of 1980s London, where you play a local ne'er-do-well using his government check to try and make a few quick bucks by betting on horse races and football games, just trying to survive until the next check arrives. But don't forget you also have to eat as well, at the local Kebab deli, across the street from your dusty and dirty flat. You can also get hammered and play the Fruit Machine at your local pub as well Do you bet your total check on the long-shot, hoping for a nice payoff, or do you bet safe and simple? Will you feast like a king or starve to death because you foolishly squandered your money? Find out in Eat, Sleep, Bet, Repeat.1 found this helpful
Those complaining have ether never bet in a race in there life or just dont understand how to play. its a decent game with a really good retro feel, its almost like a survival game where you do as the title says eat and drink to regain hunger and thirst, sleep to regain health and win bets to increase your happyness. My only complaint about the game would be you cant bet the "place" of a horse, its Win or E/W only. but if you know what your doing and know how to predict horse outcomes its quite simple
Overall a decent game for all us betheads, but basic, multiple betting is missin,no lucky 15s,yankee,etc etc, would be better with this.lovin the 80s feel, cool game, funny
