This game has a little bit of everything, including management, cooking, exploration, and raising a dragon. Rather than feeling like a refined or deeply layered simulation game, it feels like a storybook where that very ambiguity becomes a gentle kind of warmth.

So after lunch I do my research on any game titles that interest me, was looking at another title when someone in the comments was saying this game was more what they were looking for. So I looked up Little Dragon's Cafe and it did look cute, kind of bare bones, graphics meh and sixty dollars, I was like nope, but then out of curiosity I looked at some third party sites I regular and found it for only eight dollars so I had to try it. It is cute cooking game with a wonderful story and a charming set of characters. There are a hundred recipes which takes time/story to get them, cooking is set to really good music. Dragon changes color depending on what you feed him. There is a lot more, but it is a quirky cute game with a decent among of depth. If you can pick it up for a decent sale, I would recommend. Edit: Finished with credits and still recommend.

This game is charming and cute; the art style, character design, and the idea of the gameplay is what drew me in to buy it, plus it was recommended by a friend. Thankfully I got it on sale during the Steam Summer Sale though, because I have yet to see how this game is worth $60-$70??? The pacing is slow but that's not the main issue, the issue is that the game/world feels incomplete. It doesn't run very well; the NPCs bump into you and halt your movement constantly, and the render distance is almost nonexistent. There is no map, not many areas opening up very quickly, no indication on controls or how to unlock certain recipe fragments that are behind obstacles or too high to reach. The characters so far are very one-note, and while the story seems cute it takes hours for it to go anywhere. They also seem to add a new character almost every scene, before I've even gotten to know the last one. I'd like to sit down and really make progress in this game, but the pacing is too slow for me to feel satisfied after even a few hours. This sounds like exactly my type of game on paper, but unfortunately I'm a pretty disappointed. I'll probably continue it because I want to get my money's wort…

I bought the game with a big 80% discount directly on Steam So far so good. (I'm very early-game.) The graphics are really weird, but there is an artistic touch to everything. I like the "pen and paper" feel of everything. It reminds me of the filter applied in This War of Mine (obviously 100% unrelated 😆). I bought the game for cheap on PS4, then I noticed it was discounted on PC. I mostly played on PC and it's OK. Just look at the PC Gaming Wiki entry if you want an overview of the PC settings. I think everyone interested at least a little bit by this game should buy this game at 80% discount. 80% should be a no-brainer. Seriously, I think that the regular price tag is not that expensive, considering the artistry and the people behind the game. That being said, very early in the game, the English localization tells us to explore the café in order to find fragments of recipes (that's a thing...), yet the fragments are in outdoor... ... I don't know whether that's a localization error or the error is also present in japanese. 🤔
